The stamp is from Sugar Nellie called 'Rockstar'

Luvvie

I thought this gorgeous stamp from Sugar Nellie would make a perfect Anniversary card for my DH....ssshh, don't tell him!
It is designed by Leanne Ellis and called 'Luvvie', how appropriate!
As it is a masculine card and particularly because my DH doesn't like ribbons, bows or flowers on his cards I have kept it fairly simple.
The quote isn't showing well in the photograph but it says
'The highest happiness on earth is in marriage'

Supplies: Stamps: Sugar Nellie 'Luvvie', Studio G heart stamp
DP: Basic Grey 'Recess' Biology and Elementary
Embellishments: Rik rak from stash, heart charm from Sugar Nellie, buttons from RAK from Debbie

Wish !

My first guest DT card for Sugar Nellie! This stamp is called Wish designed by Leanne Ellis. I think she has an old fashioned look about her so wanted a distressed look.
She is painted with watercolours and I added another layer of letters to give a 3d effect.
Now, hope to get started on another one!! I have been out shopping this morning for non-perishables and the panic is setting in....if I don't buy everything in the supermarket we will run out of food on Christmas Day!!!
today is the last challenge of the year over on Cute Card thursday, you can make anything you like it is an open theme and there is a fab stamp to be won.
I have to thank Andrea for running CCT on her own these past few months, I will be back on January 8th with the first CCT challenge of the new year, hope to see you there!
Supplies: Stamps ~ Sugar Nellie 'Wish' designed by Leanne Ellis
DP : K & Co blue awning
Embellishments : Prima flowers, Brads, eyelets and ribbon from stash, charm hearts from RAK

snowman soup

Made 3 very quick Snowman Soups today for teacher pressies. Can't believe it almost end of term again! I simply covered a disposable coffee cup and add decoration. Made a little bag for marshmallows and popped a lovely chocolate stick through the top and added a label and ribbon.
and now for the good news......my new Sugar Nellies arrived today in my DT package, woohoo!
Couldn't wait and inked them all up. I completed a card but it was too dark to photograph so I will add it here tomorrow afternoon. Now I am itching to make my next one! Hopefully I will get another couple of cards made before I have to stop to concentrate on the festivities! I have suddenly got the crafting bug again....what timing!
Hope your festive preparations are on track, thanks for dropping by!

Short Trip

Guess where I was last week?
The Brandenburg GateDH and I went to Berlin for a couple of days. Kids stayed home with Nana but I will take them one day as they would love the Christmas market. We left on saturday morning which was Saint Nicholas Day and as we left the hotel we found a lovely little goodie bag hanging on the door handle! I have to say the Gluhwein was rather nice too!

award

I was given this gorgeous award from Bernie, thanks so much, I so appreciate that you remembered me considering I have been missing so much lately! Promise to do better in the New Year!
I am just about on track now although way behind with my christmas cards so hopefully will be showing some more cards soon, should have one made up by this afternoon!

Sprinkled with fun!

A quick post, so busy this week!
This is the card I made last week but couldn't show until today. Just love this Bella and the fun sentiment!
Think the papers are DCWV Xmas stack, flowers are Primas and the little cupcake is a See D's tiny stamp from a set.
Have a great week and thanks for your visit!

Christmas Wreath

Thank you all so much for your lovely get well wishes. I feel fine now, just got some sniffles left!
Today I went to a floral workshop to make this gorgeous christmas wreath, it is a huge improvement on last year's effort. It was held at a fabulous place with stunning views and they provided a delicious lunch of homemade soup, sandwiches and cake! How perfect!
I managed a card yesterday but can't show it yet as it is for a friend who could check on here so will show after the weekend. Hopefully I will get around for a blog hop later tonight, can't wait to see what you have all been making. Have a great weekend and thanks so much for visiting!

sympathy card

Sorry I have been gone so long, I am still busy with the house but taking a day off as I have a horrible cold and can't manage anything too energetic.
I made this a couple of weeks ago when I needed a sympathy card, just never got the chance to upload it.

The image is the gorgeous 'Strawberry Tea' from Sugar Nellie designed by Elisabeth Bell.
The papers are Basic grey from a Wassail pad and the flowers are all Primas.

Glad Tidings

In between painting my kitchen walls I managed to come up with this card. It is too tempting having lovely new stash, just had to have a play!
I followed the Ismaki sketch as it has been ages since I have played along, so long that I didn't realise the sketch was last weeks! Oh well, better late than never! Also as I used my new Basic Grey Wassail papers and the Basic Grey challenge is 'Christmas' I decided to double up, they may be the only challenges I manage to take part in this week, although I would love to squeeze in another card later in the week.
I used this sweet new image from Sugar Nellie 'Trimming the tree' illustrated by Elisabeth Bell. I had to get both tree trimming stamps so watch out for the next one...it is one of my favourite parts of Christmas!

The insideNo ingredients today as I am pushed for time...just shout if you want to know anything! thanks for visiting!

Sugar Nellie ~ Rory

Couldn't resist making a card with the cute Rory from Sugar Nellie! He arrived yesterday with a few other yummy stamps I couldn't resist buying at the weekend from Funky Kits! The papers are new too, they are Fancy Pants and the note is from K&Co Blue Awning Journal Pad, love these, they add instant appeal!
With some flowers this image could easily be adapted for a feminine card but I decided to stick to buttons for a more masculine look!
This is my first card in about 3 weeks, can you believe it? I nearly didn't know where to start and was seriously lacking in confidence - must not take such long breaks in future!
Thanks for visiting!
Supplies: Stamp ~ Sugar Nellie 'Rory'
DP ~ Fancy Pants 'Papa'
Embellishments ~ K&Co Blue Awning journal pad, buttons, photo corners and ticket from RAK, Star charm from Jeneca Beads

I'm Home

Just got back from our jollies last night, there is still a mountain of laundry to wade through but it is good to be home. We had a fabulous holiday in Lanzarote, some lovely sunshine, we had a well-earned rest and the kids had a ball! Shame about the weather back here in the UK though!
Got back to some fab news, I made it as a guest DT member for Sugar Nellie! Can't wait and of course couldn't resist some of the new stamps just released tonight so don't think it will be long before I have something to show!
Thank you all so much for all your sweet comments, as soon as I am sorted out I will be dropping by to see what you have all been up to!
Hope you are having a great weekend!

Thursday 9 October 2008

Sorry for the lack of new cards, I am taking a break for a few weeks, having a holiday and catching up with decorating the house. I hope to still drop by and visit you all when I can, in between coats of paint and when I need a coffee break!

I kept the front fairly plain on this one to show off the charms.
