Cute Card Thursday ~ Animal Magic

The challenge over at Cute Card Thursday this week is......
Animal Magic!
~As soon as this cute Whimsy Stamp arrived at the weekend I knew it had to be him, I just love this naughty bunny! This stamp is called 'Whimsy Bunny with Snowman' and can be bought here!
He reminds me of the hare that runs around in our garden and at this time of year eats my crocus flower heads! He is so naughty too but I love him so I don't mind really!
We have a new sponsor this week, Craftaway have given us a gorgeous cute Riley stamp to give away! They have 20% off until saturday so it is well worth a visit, a good time to stock up on that Bazzill and your favourite DP!
We also have Silvia as our Guest Designer again this week, you can see her fabulous card and the regular Design Teams beautiful creations here!
I decorated the inside but kept it fairly plain as it took me forever to do this card.....why is it that sometimes a card will take a whole day or longer and others will take a couple of hours! I kept moving things about and changing things on here, you know how it is?
Supplies: DP ~ Basic Grey 'Dasher' and 'Figgy Pudding'
Stamps ~ Whimsy Stamps Animal Collection 'Bunny with Snowman'
Inkadinkado 'Merry Christmas Postage stamp set'

Everybody-Art-Challenge ~ Bag!

I found the perfect challenge for me over at Everybody-art- Challenge this week, the theme is Bag!
Seeing as I am bag crazy this week I just had to play along!
I loved seeing all the other bags on the challenge too, so many bags to make so little time!
This little cutie is Knight Connor from the Whimsy Stamps Kids Collection. Isn't he adorable? My youngest son loves him so I decided he had to be on the party bags! These bags are so easy to make so it won't be a problem to make a few for the party goers! You can see a mini tutorial of some similar gift bags here! The bag inners were sent to me by my good friend Debbie, I can't remember where she got them from unfortunately!
The shield made a perfect little embellishment seeing as boys rarely like flowers on their cards! I will be using this a lot with Knight Connor!!!
***************
I also made a sweet girly one with Pajama Time Emma, again from the Whimsy Stamps Kids Collection. There are 2 fabulous new kids stamps to be released shortly, you can check them out here!

Don't forget Whimsy Stamps are having a DT call right now, closing date is Sunday 1st March! See here for details!
Thank you so much for dropping by!

Supplies: DP ~ Basic Grey 'Archaic' and 'Sugared'

Stamps ~ Whimsy Stamps Kids Collection 'Knight Connor' and 'Pajama Time Emma' images coloured with watercolour paints and Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

Stamp Something ~ 3D somethings

The Stamp Something Challenge this week is hosted by my good blogging pal Alex! Her fantastic theme this week is '3D somethings'. This is right up my street just now as I am really enjoying making other items and altering things. A year ago I wouldn't have known where to start but I predict this year, for me at least, will be the year of the handmade gift bag/box!
This was a paper bag with a shop logo on the front and back but I soon covered that up! Most of the flowers were punched out, the sentiment scroll was made with folded card and the flap was made using nestabilities.

The image is Sugar Nellie 'Picking Apples' designed by Elisabeth Bell.

A side view to show that it is 3D!

The back is very plain, I might still add a couple of little flowers yet!
I am off to have a little play with some inks and paint!!! My new DT stamps have just arrived from Whimsy Stamps, I can't wait to ink to them up!
I am so thrilled to have joined this fabulous team that I am sorting out some blog candy to celebrate which I will hopefully post later in the week! Make sure you add yourself to my list of followers as this is where I will choose the winner from!

Stamp ~ Sugar Nellie 'Picking Apples'
Embellishments ~ heart charms from Ebay, Papermania metal charm (pulled from flower), beads and ribbon from stash. Crystal stickers Pearls.

Cute Card Thursday ~ Signs of Spring!

The challenge on Cute Card Thursday this week is
Signs of Spring!

I don't know about you but I am enjoying seeing the first signs of spring, the daffodils are just beginning to sprout (after being buried in snow for a week!). It is quite mild this week but I hear that it won't last and another cold spell is on it's way, oh well, enjoy while it lasts!
I decided to make a little Easter treat as I always think of Easter when I think of spring! As soon as my fabulous Whiff of Joy Spring kit arrived I knew I had to make a sweet girly one, I am busy making a boyish one too which I will share tomorrow!
I used instructions from the Scor-pal projects site, it is so amazing there, you can find allsorts of fabulous creations. This one is the Halloween Treat Bag, it is so easy to make!
The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I used a velcro fastener to keep mine together in the hope that it doesn't get completely destroyed when it is opened!

We have a fabulous new Guest Designer this week, pop over and check out the beautiful card by Orka
Please check out the Design Team's fabulous blogs and find out more about how they made their beautiful spring creations!
thanks so much for dropping by, hope you all have a great day!
Supplies: DP ~ Imaginesce 'for peep's sake'
Stamp ~ Whiff of Joy 'spring kit stamp'
Embellishments ~ Prima flowers, Kaiser adhesive pearls, ribbon from stash

multi challenge card

I think I have managed to make this card to fit into three challenges! I used Debbie's fab sketch on Spoonful of Sugar, the recipe from Whiff of Joy Challenge and added wire to fit into the Arty Girlz challenge!
The recipe was 3 papers, 2 flowers and 1 button/brad. My 3rd paper is inside as is my 2nd flower. The button is under the metal flower centre, I had to put that on top as the wire coming out the button looked a bit untidy. You have to look quite closely to see the wire but it is around the flower centre!
This is one of the new stamps from the Whiff of Joy spring kit, isn't she sweet?

Supplies: DP~ K&Co 'Blue Awning'

Stamps ~ Whiff of joy 'spring kit', SU 'Circle of friendship',

Embellishments ~ Prima flowers, rub-on, doiley, wire, beads, ribbon

Some fantastic news to share! Denise Lynn owner of Whimsy Stamps asked me to join her Design Team! I will be mostly be designing for the Kids collection, you might remember my card here using the very sweet Emma stamp. Watch out for more of these adorable stamps soon!

Cute Card Thursday ~ music and dance

MUSIC AND DANCE

Okay, you might be wondering why I made this card for a music and dance theme. We decided to open the theme up a little by including song titles as sentiments.....see where I was going?
As soon as I saw this sweet image from Sugar Nellie called 'come fly with me' (could have used that song title too!) designed by Mary Hall and available here I just couldn't stop singing 'lets go fly a kite', are you all humming along now, if you don't know the song have a look here I guarantee you will be singing along!
Many thanks to Bernie who sent me this fabulous image in a RAK!
We have the fabulous Dawny P as guest designer again this week, many thanks to her for her beautiful cards for the past 2 weeks! Please pop over and check out the rest of the DT cards, they are just amazing and there are even more fabulous creations on their own blogs!

tilda and friends ATC - hearts and Whiff of Joy news

Here is my ATC for the Tilda and friends ATC challenge. The theme this week is hearts!
I immediately thought of this Whiff of Joy stamp 'Melinda blowing kisses' from the Guardian Angels collection. I don't swap ATCs so I am sure this will become something else soon, I am thinking of adding it to the inside of a card for decoration! There are so many things you can do with these and they are so quick to make! Why don't you check out the challenge yourself?
This is a good time to tell about the new release at Whiff of Joy, some fabulous Medieval themed stamps designed by Alison Acton. Check out the design teams previews, they are so sweet! the best news is you don't have long to wait, they are released tomorrow, 14th Feb!
