Born to be Wild

I managed to make this card yesterday morning after my small craft box of essentials arrived, of course it was at the bottom of the last box I looked in! I was thrilled to see the rest of my Copics again and some extra images and a handful of embellishments. It was like Christmas, can't wait to unpack the rest of my craft room when the stuff from the boat comes!
This card fits nicely into the Double Dutch challenge which is to go back in time. You can choose any of the previous challenges. I chose challenge 4 which was Pick and Choose, the 3 techniques I chose to use were 4. Distressing 8. Stamping and 9. Punching

Supplies:
Bella image
DP: Basic Grey 'two scoops'
Stamps : Martha Stewart 'swirls'
Embellishments: Tim Holtz chain, metal birthday ribbon slider from Jo-anns, Martha Stewart Leaf punch, flowers unknown make, pearls and gems.

This morning we mooched around a number of yard sales and found these two gems. They are going to be perfect for storing little crafty bits and pieces and were only $5 and $2!
This afternoon we ended up at Robert's oddly enough! got some gorgeous papers, some desperately needed cardstock and some other scrumptious bits and pieces. Had to cut the fun shopping short though as we then had to do the boring stuff......pans, cutlery, toaster, crockpot.........endless list.......
Moving into our house tomorrow, can't wait! See you again later in the week!
Hope you are all having a fabulous weekend!

Whimsy/cute card thursday New Beginnings!

We are finally here, almost settled in, moving into our house this weekend! Kids are in school and settling in well thankfully! This is the first card I have managed to make since the end of May! I am a bit rusty and have very limited supplies so bear with me a little longer! Most of my crafty supplies are on a slow boat at the moment! I won't see them again for at least another month! I have a small box of supplies being delivered tomorrow which came over as air freight but it really is small and only has some essentials in it!
This card is a Whimsy DT card and also for Cute Card Thursday, the theme is
New Beginnings.....how appropriate!
This card is the prototype for my Change of Address cards but this one I made for a friend who is also moving this weekend!
I managed to make this card thanks to some Whimsy stamps that Denise held back for me and sent once we arrived here. The other materials I have bought in the last week or so from Michael's, Jo-ann's or Wal-mart! Love having these stores locally! I am so spoilt here, great craft supplies, fabulous weather and Starbucks just around the corner! What more could a girl want?
Supplies:
DP : Martha Stewart Collection from Wal-mart
Colouring : Limited Copics, few watercolour pencils and a smudge of eyeshadow (well, any port in a storm eh?)
Embellishments : Bias binding, button on sale, pack of buttons and Martha Stewart leaf punch (all Wal-mart) Twine from Michael's,
Treble Clef paperclip from Staples.
