Whimsy Blog Hop, exciting news!!!

Whimsy Stamps have some fab news to share with you today - we have a new rubber artist joining our team.... KENNY KIERNAN!

As many of you will know, Kenny K is currently a digital stamp artist (amongst many other things) and although Whimsy will not be carrying any Kenny K digis, we are making some of Kenny's existing designs into rubber and then hopefully adding some new designs along the line that will be exclusive to the Whimsy rubber collection!

So to celebrate this wonderful new venture, the Whimsy Stamps DT plus our fab special Whimsy guests Elaine Hughes, Deb, (me!) and Janna, are holding a BLOG HOP to showcase the EIGHT images that are being made into rubber:

All That
Devilish Donna
Download Diva
Kitty Katastrophe
Luscious Linda
Movie Star
Rock Chick
Troublemaker

Remember that Whimsy Stamps will be carrying the rubber versions of these stamps only. Kenny K will continue to offer the digital versions in his store. The rubber stamps are available to PRE-ORDER from today from the Whimsy store, and will hopefully be in stock and start shipping the week of 27th December!

Our super-talented Ann (Raindrop Echo Designs) has designed some wonderful digital sentiments that work fabulously with these images - thank you Ann! These are also being released today!

If you would like to participate in the hop and you didn't arrive here from Annika's blog, please CLICK HERE to return to the beginning of the hop at Simonne's blog.

The hop starts today (Thursday December 16th at noon EST) and ends on Thursday December 23rd at noon EST.

For this hop we have 4 different prize draws! The grand prize of ALL 8 of the new release rubber stamps is being hosted by Denise at the very end of the hop, but there are also 3 mini candy stops throughout the hop! I'm not going to tell you where they are, so you'll just have to keep on hopping to find them! *wink* [Winners will be announced on December 23rd after the hop ends - what a wonderful Christmas present for those lucky hoppers!]

For my blog hop creation I used .......Rock Chick, I can't tell you what a dream she was to colour and I am so excited to have these fabulous images in rubber at last!  I have made this card for my hubby for our anniversary which is straight after New Year so I have to be organised in advance as there will be no crafting done from now until January!  I also used the fabulous music notes stamp designed by Raindrop Echo Designs for Whimsy, I so love this background stamp and intend to use it lots!  The papers I used are Basic Grey 'Marjolaine'.  For the stars I used my new Martha Stewart punch all over the page star stamp, what a versatile punch that is, love it!  Love not having to worry about edges!

So now it's time for you to continue the hop by hopping on over to Chris's blog where I know she has something amazing to show you!

Finally, here is a complete blog hop list in hopping order:

Thank you so much for hopping with us today and I hope you enjoy this exciting new release!

Christmas is coming!

Not made much this week but I did manage to find some time to create this! I bought  a tatty, tired old wreath in a yard sale a few weeks back with the idea of pulling the awful bits off and fixing it up!
Earlier this week I found some gorgeous bits of foliage and decorations in Michael's that were just perfect!
I am tempted to do the same with a simple garland now as I enjoyed it so much!
Last year we bought a real wreath but it lasted only 3 days as our front door gets the strong sunshine most of the day and it literally baked my wreath!

**************
I will be back with some paper creations on Wednesday when I will be taking part in the Whimsy Blog Hop for the latest rubber release!
I have been painting some of the images this morning and they are so adorable!
Hope you will join us then!
Have a fabulous weekend!

Cute Card Thursday - The Blues!

The theme this week on Cute Card Thursday is 'The Blues'!
If you are like me and very pushed for time with all the Festive preparations you will find these pre-coloured digital images from Whimsy Stamps an absolute Godsend!
Now you can finish off all your Christmas cards in a snap!
The images are available either as pre-coloured or as a normal digital image for you to colour yourself.
With very little crafting time here I opted for the coloured one and was not disappointed, it printed out perfectly!
This is one of many that Whimsy have just released this week, it is by Crissy Armstrong and is called 'Touched by Love'
you should pop over to see what Crissy came up with her own pre-coloured images, she teamed them up with Ann's digital frames and made a batch of beautiful cards!

The sweet sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps.  It is a digital sentiment designed by Ann Vento aka Raindrop Echo Designs which I  printed  directly onto my DP which is from Stampin' Up.
There are so many new designs to choose from at Whimsy.
New digital designs from Ann, Crissy, and Katie, along with many new images released in November to the Meljen's Designs collection.

A brand new colored digital collection. Beautifully colored images, great for making quick cards. Designs by Crissy Armstrong and Melissa Jenkins. Each file is JPG at 300dpi for high print quality. Resize, flip, or rotate to fit your project.

Visit the store to see all the new digital stamps available and then join us again on Wednesday the 8th for a new rubber stamp release!

The edge punch and snowflakes are Martha Stewart.
This week at CCT  we are sponsored by
a fabulous prize on offer to one lucky winner!  hope you will drop by and see the DTs beautiful blue creations!

There seems to be an awful lot of snow around the world at the moment, hope you are staying safe and warm wherever you are!
thanks for dropping by!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I have used another one of Meljen's Designs rubber stamps, now available at Whimsy Stamps,  for this card.
We have a very creative theme over at Cute Card Thursday
Blast from the Past!
You can choose from any of our earlier themes, now as we have been going for over 2 years you have quite a lot to choose from!
I chose challenge 49 from February 2009, Animal Magic.
The papers I used are Basic Grey, the tree paper is still one of my all time favourite Christmas designs!
The snowflake strip is a Martha Stewart punch, glittered with stickles.  The individual snowflakes are also M.S!
The ticket stamp is from Whimsy stamps designed by Ann Vento aka Raindrop Echo Designs who has also designed the fabulous ticket die now available from Whimsy Stamps, makes cutting out all those tickets so simple!
The central die is a Nellie Snedden die  I got from Bunny Zoe Crafts.
****************
As usual we have a fabulous sponsor with a fabulous prize
Do drop by the rest of the DT blogs they will help remind you of the former challenges and have created some gorgeous cards as always!
******************
A quick reminder that Whimsy stamps are celebrating their 2nd anniversary this month!  This week they are giving away a stamp a day, check out the details over on the Whimsy Inspiration Blog!
******************
Hope those of you celebrating Thanksgiving today are having a lovely time with family and friends and feasting!  I love this holiday we have 'inherited' since moving here!  It is so nice to have everyone off work and school and have a lovely turkey dinner altogether (it gives me the opportunity to practice for Christmas Day as we have turkey then too)!   We are even going to try out one of the Christmas Puddings I just made this week, well, we need to know if they are good enough!
To everyone else not celebrating Happy Thursday!

Cute Card Thursday - Sketch by Susan!

Susan designed a fabulous sketch for us to use this week on
I was in such a hurry to put this together but the sketch helped speed things up and I completed it in no time at all!
The image is one of the new rubber stamps from Whimsy Stamps illustrated by Meljen's Designs.  he is called Santa's Puppy helper!
The ticket stamps are also from Whimsy Stamps and were cut out using the new Whimsy ticket die, makes cutting them out a breeze, I love it! The die is available to pre-order and should be ready to ship end of November!
I used my new Martha Stewart double edge punch to make the row of snowflakes, so love this punch!  The other snowflakes are also Martha Stewart as is the baker's twine.
On the inside I used a sweet stamp from Whimsy Stamps which is part of the set 'Winter Letter Seals', I think it makes a perfect small sentiment for inside the card.
**************
This week at CCT we are sponsored by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps with another fabulous prize on offer!
*********************
Other challenges I am entering with this card -
A spoonful of Sugar ~ distressing
Crafty Creations ~ beautiful insides

WOYWW

My yummy new Martha Stewart punch, my new favourite toy that is what is on my workdesk this morning!
Some sweet Hanglar stamps arrived the other day but not had time to open them yet!
Also this bell ornament I picked up from Michael's thinking it was a pack of bells!  Not to be outdone I set to work with my wire snippers and hey presto, a pack of bells!

If you don't know what WOYWW is then hop on over to Julia's blog to get the details and join in!
Yikes, 38 days to Christmas, I don't know if having that xmas tree counter in the corner is a good thing, gives me a fright every day!  Now it is in the 30's I am quaking!
Still lots to do before then, are you organised yet?

Birthday Baking!

Another project using the new Whimsy Stamps Designer papers available in the Whimsy online store now!
I used 'Holiday Folly', even though this is not a Christmas card the papers are ideal for this creation!  I love the pinstripe for the apron! All the papers used here are from the pack.
My custom design rubber stamp for the back, you can get yours for 20% off this week, part of the month long celebration for Whimsy's 2nd Anniversary!
The ticket stamp and sentiment are also from Whimsy Stamps and I cut out the ticket with the new Whimsy Stamps ticket die, makes cutting these tickets out a breeze!
I used this sweet 'Kitchen Tilda' stamp from Magnolia's  a little yummy for your tummy collection.
Hope my card is bright enough to enter the Moving along with the Times challenge 'Nice and Bright', I am also entering it into the Meljen's Designs challenge 'Food'

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend, we had a very quiet one, just what we needed with all the bugs in this house!

Whimsy stamps new designer paper!

I love the way Michelle Wooderson puts things together and when I saw her holiday pouches I knew I had to give them a try.
Michelle has the brown sacks to purchase in her Etsy store but I couldn't wait so I used a brown envelope which I stuck down and cut one end off.  I then used a Martha Stewart border punch for a decorative finish.
I have used the brand new Whimsy Stamps Designer Paper, this one is from the delicious Holiday Folly pack.  The images on the paper were hand drawn and coloured by Whimsy artist Crissy Armstrong and arranged by Whimsy graphics designer Ann Vento.  The images are the perfect size for cards and other small creations.  This paper is one of my favourites from the pack!
I have also used Whimsy Stamps Winter Letter Seals for the sentiment on the clothes peg.
The lace is from Bunny Zoe's crafts and the snowflakes and buttons I got from Michaels.
I am entering this into Bunny Zoe's crafts challenge this week which is christmas -not a card!
Also, the sweet stamping challenge is snowflakes!

Hoping to have time to get something else made today as we are planning a quiet weekend at home as most of the family are full of cold!  Only eldest daughter seems to have escaped it so far!
Hope you are having a fantastic weekend, thanks for dropping by!

Whimsy Stamps 'Christmas Tree in Words' designed by Ann Vento aka Raindrop Echo Designs
and
Whimsy Stamps 'Winter Letter Seals' also designed by Ann Vento.
The designer paper is from a new pad I picked up this week Wonderful Winter by My Mind's Eye.
I also used my new Nellie Snedden dies, they are the perfect size to work with the Winter Letter Seals!

I used the fabulous sketch over at Everybody Art this week
and
Paper Sundaes theme this week is 'Let it Snow'

Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes!

I am a little late with my post today, too busy to schedule yesterday then today went awry with 2 sick kids!
A nice easy one this week at Cute Card Thursday
Anything Goes!
AFter seeing Simonne's fantastic tags in the Whimsy Stamps blog hop I just had to make a set.  I always seem to run out of tags and never really like the shop bought ones.  I also thought they would make a nice little gift, packaged up nicely.
The gorgeous stamps I used are the new Whimsy Stamps 'Winter Letter Seals' designed by Ann Vento aka Raindrop Echo Designs.  They are so perfect to use as tags!
I used my new Nellie Snedden dies that I won from Bunny Zoe's crafts via ASOS.  Love them, thank you Nikki and Debbie!
As I have snowflakes on my tags, I am going to enter the A Spoonful of Sugar challenge again this week!
ONe of the stamps has a blank spot in the middle so you have options to add quotes or as I did the to/from which works perfectly on the back of each tag!
Now to find some nice red wrapping paper to match!
Our sponsor this week over at CCT is Simon Says Stamp so once again a fabulous prize of a $25 voucher,  is on offer to one lucky winner!
Hope you get the chance to see the rest of the DT creations, they have created some gorgeous offerings  as always!
