Stamp Something - a recipe

This is my last week as a guest designer for Stamp Something, thanks ladies for asking me to join you, it was so much fun!
The theme this week is a recipe, paper, tag, ribbon and bow continuing the birthday theme for the month.
Paper Jewels are sponsoring Stamp Something, they carry CC Designs so I thought I would use this little cutie.  I knew he would be perfect for a teacher thank you card!  He is a digital image called School Puppy.
My 'tag' is one of Ann Vento's fabulous new Ticket stamps now available from Whimsy Stamps.
The papers are Basic Grey 'Nook and Pantry'.
I used the fabulous sketch from Papertake Weekly.
it also fits
ABC - vintage ( lace is cream and looks very vintage IRL)!

I am sure like me, you are all so glad it is Friday, have a fabulous long weekend, think this is one of the rare holidays that both the US and the UK have, if for different reasons!

Cute Card Thursday ~ No Designer Papers

All together now....aaahhhh!
How cute is this little sweetie?  A very quick and simple card from me this week for
The theme is No Designer Paper!  now I could have stamped some cardstock etc but instead opted for CAS.
The image is one of Meljen's Designs digi's, her images are fabulous, so love them!  Watch this space as next Tuesday 1st June Whimsy Stamps have a new release and Melissa has once again designed some gorgeous images for us!

We also have some gorgeous images from Crissy, Katie and some sweet co-ordinating sentiments from Ann!  I never thought I would like digi but this year I am loving them!  They are so quick and easy, cheap to buy and no postage and you can have them the instant you decide you want them!  Love it!
The sentiment I have used is one of Ann's for Whimsy Stamps from the Get Well sentiment set. As Ann's Sentimental Sunday challenge is a Get Well theme I will enter this card!
CCT is being sponsored by The Stamp Shoppe so another fabby prize up for grabs!
Hope you will pop over to see what the DT have come up with this week, gorgeous cards as always!
Have a great Thursday!

WOYWW

I can't believe I am saying this but it is Wednesday again!  Time for WOYWW!  Nothing too exciting this morning, but I did find this bargains in Wal-mart in a bargain basket, I plan to extract all the charms from them, the New Moon bracelets have little werewolves and little black hanging gems etc and at 50 c a bracelet I couldn't resist!  The top one I did pay full price for but I liked all the girly charms, will come in handy someday I am sure!
The cards above are waiting to have their insides done, sounds painful doesn't it?  Normally like to do these as I go along but my deadlines came too fast this week!
Another coaster, only 2 left after this one! No translation needed on this one!
If you want to play along visit Julia at her blog here or if you just want to nosey at lots more desks, you will find lots here!

I am honoured this week to be a guest designer on Stamp Something Challenges

The theme this week is 2 of Something!
I used 2 DPs, 2 buttons, 2 bows, 2 pearl gems, 2 punched layers,  oh and 2 sentiments, went a bit crazy with 2's!
The image I used is one of Whimsy Stamps digital collection from Crissy Armstrong, it is called 'party snail', I coloured him with Copics using the dotty technique that Crissy first showed us!  The sentiments are also from Whimsy! The celebration sentiment is from the digital collection and the Happy Birthday is from a rubber stamp set both from Ann Vento aka  Raindrop Echo Designs.
Whimsy are holding a DT call just now for a couple of new designers, see here for details!
The papers I used on my card are the fab new Basic Grey 'Green at heart'.

Cute Card Thursday ~ A Sketch by Caz

Caz has designed a fabulous sketch for us over on
I love all the layers it has!  I did forget to add the sentiment though! whoops!

I once again made a matching envelope and bookmark, I had to create a more boxy envelope this time so the roses wouldn't crush, it has a depth of 3/4 inch.
The bookmark has a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps digital sentiments designed by Ann Vento aka Raindrop Echo Designs.  They are the 'flowers in bloom' sentiment set.
I am entering Ann's Sentimental Sunday Challenge with this set, the theme this week is 'new beginnings' as this is a farewell gift for a teacher so also marks the start of a new school year!
The stamp is from Susanas custom card and design, designed by Elisabeth Bell and is called 'latte' very appropriate for me!
The mug on the inside is a Studio G stamp and the pretty flower on the front of the envelope is one of the accessory stamps that comes with the fabulous new Carousel Horse stamp from Whimsy called 'Proud to Be
I don't usually opt to use purples but I love these papers and love the finished result.  They are Basic Grey 'Wisteria'.
The roses are Primas and are available in the Whimsy store at a great price!
The leaf punch is a Leone-Em.
The other challenges I am entering are
Spoonful of Sugar - cute and girly
Project Tuesday - card with matching bookmark
Papertake Weekly - say it with flowers
Pollycraft - summer blooms

Please drop by the rest of the DT and see their fab creations, we have another fantastic sponsor this week
Thanks for visiting, have a great Thursday!

Party Pony Calendar

Here is the Whimsy Stamps 'Party Pony' designed by Crissy Armstrong.
You can see more examples of this by joining in the current blog hop, just start at Crissy's blog!
You might even win this stamp set!
Whimsy also has a DT call out now, check here for details!

How cute is it?  So perfect for birthdays so I decided to use it on my birthday calendar that has been laying around waiting to be decorated forever!
I kept it flat and simple as there are lots of pages and it needs to open to write in birthdays etc.

This is a rub-on sentiment from Kaiser.
Thanks for dropping by, have a great evening!

WOYWW

It is time for WOYWW again!
I am in the middle of a few projects so it is more messy today!

Here is the only milk carton I completed from last week, need to make another 6 or so of them!  It is teacher appreciation week next week so go to get busy!  Only a couple of weeks of school left now, summer is coming very early here!  In the Uk we didn't finish for summer til mid/late July!
*edited to add * my lovely bargain shelves I picked up from a yard sale at the weekend, $5!!  Think I will paint them white before loading them up and they won't be permanently in my window, only spot with a decent bit of light!

This is what I am working on today, should be finished it soon, drop by later if you want to see the whole thing finished!
Hope you will share 'whats on your workdesk' this week, if you want to play along visit Julia here!
Whoops, almost forgot to share another coaster with you!  Not many more to go!!!

Whimsy Carousel Horse Release Party

Welcome to the
Whimsy Carousel Horse Release Party!
Hopefully you arrived here from Maddy's blog but if not you might want to start the Party at the beginning at Crissy's blog.
You will need to leave a comment at all the DT's blogs as a number of them have surprise blog candy including the main prizes, 2 peeps will win both sets of Carousel Horses cleverly illustrated by our super-talented artist Crissy Armstrong!

I created a little gift set, a card, an insertable bookmark and an envelope.
I used the gorgeous 'Proud to Be' stamp for my card.  It comes with sentiments and accessories such as the leaf stamp I used on the envelope here.
It comes with a July 4th sentiment and was designed to be such but I thought it would be fun to show a different side of him.  I think he works just as well in other colours!
The ticket stamps on the front are also part of this release, they are a set of 5 tickets plus extra insertable sentiments.  Love them!!! they were designed by our own very clever Ann Vento aka Raindrop Echo Designs.  I also used one of Ann's freebie sentiments that she gives away on her blog from time to time for the book mark.

I used my new Martha Stewart Scoreboard to make my first envelope and was so thrilled with how it came out!  It makes envelope making so easy!  I lined it with the same fabby DP ~ Basic Grey 'Capella', so love these papers, only just got them this week!
with all this going on nearly forgot to let you know the challenges I created this card for
The sketch was from Friday Sketchers
Saturday challenge ~ metal (my brads)
Stampin' for the weekend ~ card for a male
Paperplay ~ brown and (another colour)

Now to continue the party hop on over to
 Crystal's  blog

Show your space Sunday on Whimsy!

Whoops, thought I had scheduled this but didn't!  Here it is a day late!
Today it is my turn to present my 'space' on the Whimsy Inspirations Blog!
I made this organiser to pretty up my desk.  It was already covered in that gorgeous paper when I bought it so it was just to embellish.

I couldn't resist the urge to use lots of Ann Vento's (Raindrop Echo Designs) sentiments on it.  They are so perfect to sit on my desk and give me inspiration!
I covered some clothes pegs with pretty papers and added the sentiments cut out with nesties and decorated.  I love it! It is sitting right in the center of my desk.
Don't forget we have the latest Whimsy release tomorrow at Noon (EST) which starts with a blog hop!
Have a great Sunday!

Cute Card Thursday ~ for Someone Special

The theme on Cute Card Thursday this week is
Someone Special
I made this card for my nephew but I am worried it might be too young for him so I may keep it for a younger nephew and make him a more 'manly' one, he will be turning 18, what do you think?

I used the fabulous new digital image from Whimsy Stamps designed by MelJen Designs called three pigs.  I so love her designs especially the unique little swirls around the characters!
The sentiment is another of Whimsy Stamps new digitals designed by Ann Vento aka Raindrop Echo Designs who designed suitably matching sentiments for all our new digital images.
******************
If you prefer the rubber we have a new Whimsy Stamps RUBBER release coming up on Monday 17th May but watch out for  some sneak peeks over the weekend!
All I will say is 'Crissy', 'Ann', ' Carousel Horses'.....oh I have said too much already!!!!!
...and don't forget in the meantime there is a sale on the other rubber stamps in the Whimsy Store!
********************
The papers are some I have had a while from Stampin' Up.
The piggies were coloured with Copics.

CCT is sponsored this week by Simon Says Stamp!  do rush over and see what the rest of the DT have created, beautiful work as always!
Have a great Thursday, thanks so much for dropping by!

WOYWW

Hello Wednesday, it must be time for WOYWW (whats on your workdesk Wednesday).
This is what I am working on at the moment.  It is going to be a little milk carton to hold some of those Ghirardellis sitting there on my desk, no they weren't my breakfast!  Hopefully have one or 2 of them to show later in the week, if there are any choccies left to fill them that is!

Last week Julia asked me to show my Copic storage.  I keep them in this little drawer cabinet, which sits behind me on yet another chest of drawers.  I don't have enough as you can see, still space for more!

Another coaster.  Just to clarify to new visitors, I bought these in Scotland when we were living there and still love them. I keep one on my desk but have 6 more so I am showing them all as they are so funny!
If you want to join in and show us your workdesk you can by visiting WOYWW mastermind Julia here!
