Tiddly Inks Birthday Treasure Hunt and Blog Hop

Welcome to the Tiddly Inks Treasure Hunt bloghop. We are kicking off Tiddly Ink’s first birthday celebration and I am so glad you joined us to hunt for inspiration and goodies.
If you came from Femke’s blog then you are at the correct spot. If not, you might want to go back to the Challenge Blog and start hopping THERE. You might miss some of the prizes that are hidden around the hop if you don’t start at the beginning. :)
My creation today features Tiddly Inks’s new image' Geekatude'.
I coloured him with Copics and Prismacolor pencils.
As soon as I saw this cute character I knew I wanted to make one of these backpacks I saw forever ago!  It would be the perfect little gift bag to fill with goodies for going back to school!  - I know, I am working well ahead of myself!
I found a tutorial over on Splitcoast Stampers which uses a template, however the template was way too small to fit this little cutie on and I couldn't work out how to enlarge it so I drew my own based on the shape of the template.  I used my Martha Stewart scoreboard which was a huge help!
Christy created about 20 new images for her birthday celebration and you can find the rest of the images HERE.

I am entering my backpack into the following challenges
ABC challenge ~ t is for trouble (now doesn't he look mischievous?)
The Tuesday Throwdown ~ to add brads or eyelets ( I used eyelets)
Incy Wincy challenges ~ buttons and bows

Just a little reminder that Tiddly Inks will be having a sale May 1-3 to celebrate it’s first birthday. If you are interested, visit the SHOP and then plan to create a fun project for the challenges or the next blog hop on May 10.
On May 10, Tiddly Inks will hold another blog hop that is open to everyone. You can check out the details on Christy’s blog HERE. It will be part of TI’s fun birthday party celebration and the special prize for the that blog hop will be a chance to win a digital stamp customized and designed for you.

From here you will want to hop over to Caz's Blog to continue the hop!

Thanks so much for hopping in our Treasure Hunt. I hope you enjoyed seeing a lot of new images, some beautiful cards and visiting with our special guests and regular designers.
Have a fabulous weekend!

Cute Card Thursday - Sketch by anyone!

On Cute Card Thursday this week we have a sketch challenge with a difference!
This week you can choose any sketch you would like to use, so it can be a current sketch from another challenge, an old Cute Card Thursday sketch (you will find the sketches in the labels section on the CCT side bar) or you can even design your own sketch to use!
This week we are sponsored by
I chose to use Claudia's sketch from challenge 117.  I knew it would be perfect for this image!
It is called 'Eli' and is by Mo Manning.  This card is for my son who is taking his driving (road) test soon!
the time to celebrate sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps from the 'Party Mini Letter Seals' set
Followed the sketch on the back.....

 and also inside
found this very apt verse by searching the internet, the author wasn't named unfortunately!
Please drop by and check out the rest of the DT's creations, all beautiful as always!

A CAS card!

My posts are like London buses, none for nearly a week and then 3 in 2 days (I am counting tomorrows CCT post too)
Told you it was going to be a CAS card, they aren't my favourite type of card to make but I do like to whip one up occasionally!
The style is perfect for a wedding acceptance card.  Of course I had no stamps with wedding acceptance on them so I added a simple thank you, I embossed both in gold although it is not easy to tell  in the photo and I added the black matting because the invite was black.
Unfortunately this is not an acceptance to the Royal Wedding although I will be there via the wonders of television!
Very quick and simple!
I am entering it into the Less is More challenge of course which is
Off Centre
and also the
Crafty Creations challenge which is 'White Space' plenty of that on this card!
have a great evening, gotta dash or the chicken will be burning!

WOYWW

Another Wednesday rolls in and I am still complaining of the snow!  We had a horrible big dump yesterday so it is still lingering today, on a positive note the forecast for next week looks so much better so I expect I am telling you how fabulous the weather is next Wednesday!
Not long now to the big day! Is anyone else getting a teensy bit excited?  I am just fighting with myself over whether I should get up at 4am to watch it live or just wait.  We are going to watch the whole thing later in the day and have a party with some other Brit friends who live here but knowing it is on, I may not be able to sleep! (For anyone not getting this, I am talking about the Royal Wedding)
ON my desk today is a little heart stamp I bought for a wedding card years ago.  I need to make a wedding acceptance card (not for the Royal one unfortunately) and can't decide how to do it.  It will be a simple CAS card as I have other things to get on with later today (with the blue patterned paper)!  Also if I don't get the reply in the mail soon the wedding will be over!
And just look what Ethan created last night!  He is such a clever little thing!
He told his friend he was going to make himself a bookmark and his friend asked if he would make him one too, he also decided he would make one for his sister!
They are upside down because he works on the opposite side of my table, of course never thought to go around there to take the shot!
If you don't know what we are doing here on WOYWW pop along to Julia Dunnit's blog to find out what it is all about and hopefully play along with us!
Have a great day!

Cute Card Thursday - No Text!

Cute Card Thursday this week has a No text theme!
Sounds easy doesn't it? No text, numerous times I wanted to add a little sentiment, just managed to stop myself!
We are sponsored by Pink Cat Studio this week!

I used this very sweet digital image from Whimsy Stamps, she is called heartfelt angel  was designed by Crissy Armstrong for the Help for Japan fundraiser.  You can still buy her over at Whimsy along with the other special stamps until the end of April.
I coloured her with Copics (skintones) and Prismacolour pencils.
The gorgeous die cuts were made using my fabby new dies by Marianne  Design and Nellie's both were bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts.
The DP is Pink Paislee 'Queen Bee'

I couldn't complete the card without some text so as I was making this a sympathy card I decided to add a very poignant verse.  This gave me huge comfort when my dad died 11 years ago and so I wanted to pass it on to the grieving family.

Other challenges I am entering
and
I hope you will join in this challenge with us this week!  Please drop by to see the rest of the Design Team's creations, we have some fabby new Dt members joining us this week!
Have a great Thursday!

Lantern Rin Tag

Hope you are having a lovely sunny day, I keep hearing how lovely it is in the Uk just now, enjoy!  We are having the worst week, rain and snow!
Made this to brighten up my day!

Finally decided to make this cutie into a tag/bookmark as a gift to a friend who helped out looking after our pooch when we were away last week.
The image is from Sparkles Creations and is called Lantern Rin, when I bought her Sparkle was donating proceeds to Japan Relief Aid, raised quite a lot from her too!
As this is for a friend I am entering it into the Crazy Challenge which is friendship.
Also entering Flutterby Wednesdays which has an open theme but must include a butterfly, angel or fairy!
The Simon Says Stamp Challenge is Emboss is so I heat embossed my sentiment on the back of the tag!
My lovely metal butterfly was in a pack in Michaels reduced to only 49 cents!
The edging die I used is Nellie's Choice available at Bunny Zoe's Crafts.
The papers are Basic Grey 'Wisteria'

Thanks for  dropping by!

WOYWW

Wednesday came around quickly this week, I am still a bit out of routine as last week was Spring Break here, not that you would know it, it is still snowing!  When will winter move on?
So what is on my workdesk today?

I coloured and paper pieced this cutie before our little excursion last week but didn't have time to do anything else with her so hopefully this will be a card later today!
Ooh, there are my new dies too, suppose I should put them away somewhere!
If you were wondering where I was last week, it was here.....
Lovely Las Vegas, I love it!  No snow there I can tell you!  This time last week I was sitting by a pool drinking a frozen margarita!  Yum!
if you want to find out more about WOYWW and maybe join in pop on over to Julia Dunnit's blog!

I have gone for hot weather as that is what I am hoping for!  The image I used is
I made another bag for a teacher's gift and thought this image would be so appropriate to give as they break up for Summer!
The bag is very much the same design as the one I made last week for another Teacher.  These are so quick and  easy to make I may be making more for the other Teachers the kids get occasionally through the school year!
Used the same quote as last time too!

a little more embellishment though as this one is a female teacher!
other challenges I am entering this into
and
Sentimental Sundays ~ Treasured Memories

Thank you for dropping by, have a great Thursday!

Cute Card Thursday - Totally Tropical

You can find my Whimsy help for Japan blog hop HERE

The theme on Cute Card Thursday this week is
Totally Tropical
hunt out your summer stamps and images or use lovely tropical colours!
I have used this adorable digital image by Mo Manning. He is Jeffy with his bucket and shovel. AT the moment he is only in the old store but hopefully they will get him moved over soon!
Cute Card Thursday is sponsored this week by
Make it colourful this week asked us to
Make it Bright!
I don't usually do bright so I had to force myself to make this bucket yellow and use these busy papers!
I used Copics and Prismacolor pencils to colour this cutie!
Make it colourful is being sponsored by Whimsy Stamps this week you can win 5 of their digital images!
Because I have used yellow I can enter this into the
DYSU challenge this week!
Also entering Delightful challenges which this week want to see Sun, Sea and Sand!

I made a gift bag for my son to give to his teacher at the end of the school year so I wanted to make it a summery themed bag as well as a thank you.  As his teacher is a man I kept the embellishments to a minimum but also because by the time he hands it over all the embellishments would have fallen off ( I am thinking after being swung around the playground, crushed up against the rucksack etc) I need it to be fairly robust!
The cute sentiment stamps are from Whimsy stamps!

I found this quote online the author is unknown but I thought it perfect! I will probably make a little matching tag for it sometime soon! I fancied it up in Word with some different fonts and quite like it!
Now I need to make one for my daughter's teacher!  Shame they don't put twins in the same class!
***********
Hope you can play along with this week at CCT, please drop by and check out the rest of the DT and their fabulous creations!
Thank you for dropping by!

WOYWW

I finished a card last night and tidied up afterwards which is why it is looking reasonably tidy today!
You can just see the back of the card I made yesterday standing up next to the scissor pot!
The rest is for the card I need to get made today, then only have one more to make and that is next week sorted, it will be spring break here so I need to be organized ahead of time.
First though, I am off to the hairdressers so the card making will have to wait!
Hope you can all play along with WOYWW if you don't know what it is pop on over to Julia Dunnit's blog to get all the details!
