Candy Stripes

A very quick and simple card for the DCM challenge this week which was :

This week is my turn (Saffa) to set the dare!I love the stripey candy sticks that are around at this time of year so inspired by this I challenge you all to create a card featuring stripes of some kind, the occasion is up to you but you must use some form of stripes on your card. Maybe stamps, or paper, or ribbon...

I have just bought this gorgeous Sugar Nellie stamp and have been desperate to make something with her. The candy stripe challenge was ideal!


Supplies: White and pink cardstock, Sugar Nellie with spring flowers stamp, Maya Road ribbon slide, Basic Grey 'Stella Ruby' paper, velvet ribbon from Papermania. Image coloured using watercolour paints.

    Those Sugar Nellie stamps are sooo cute! I adore them, but I wish I could find them near me. I might have to break down and get them on-line soon. Hmm, maybe I will put them on my wish list on Wish-RAK at SCS http://www.splitcoaststampers.com

    I also LOVE that ribbon slider. That is precious. Great idea with the striped paper. It looks very cute indeed. :) Kelly

    This is very pretty, love the colours! And the ribbon slide. I think I've got to take up stamping after all, the Sugar Nelllies (and Tildas) are all so so cute :)
