Whimsy ~ Baseball Connor havin' fun

This card fits into lots of challenges for this week! first of all the Copic Colour Challenge which is being sponsored by Whimsy Stamps this week, you could win a $15 gift certificate to spend in the Whimsy Online Store!!!
I used the ever so cute Whimsy Stamps Baseball Connor on this card, I thought this Cosmo Cricket paper was perfect for him, I love it, so boyish and so vintage!
My new mini voltage transformer arrived yesterday and no sooner was it through the door than it was attached to my UK sewing machine and off I went! It has been a bit of a drag having to fetch the large transformer that the kids have been using on the X Box but I missed not stitching on my cards so it was either a small transformer that the kids couldn't use or a new mini sewing machine. Think I made the right choice as I love my sewing machine.
I started off using the sketches from Papertake Weekly and Truly Scrumptious, had them both copied on one sheet and must have gone between them, weren't they so similar. Anyway, now it doesn't seem to resemble either one, more a mix of them both!
The other challenges are
Simon Says...... Shabby Chic
Creative Inspirations.....Distressing

Thanks to all of you for dropping by, hope you have a fabulous weekend! I am hoping for a very quiet one!!!!

Over at Cute Card Thursday this week the theme is

Pink and Grey

They are not colours I normally put together but so glad this challenge made me do it as I love it now! Of course the BG papers are gorgeous so what's not to love?

I finally got around to making an easel card, been admiring them all around blogland for a while now but this week was the first chance I got to really take my time and enjoy making my card instead of the rush jobs I have had to do lately!

I got this adorable image from Denise a while back, gonna have to get this stamp I have loved using her!
I used the fantastic sketch over at Stamp Something this week. This week the sketch is designed by Denise,

I am also entering this card into the Spoonful of Sugar challenge set this week by Karen she gave us a recipe.
use 3 pieces of DP, one piece of ribbon, 3 flowers and 3 buttons. okay, so I got carried away with the flowers just a tad but the extra ones are only tiny!
It also fits into the ABC challenge which is l for layering.

we once again have a fantastic prize on offer over at CCT and the DT examples are fabulous as always, hope you can play along!

I went to a Stampin' Up class yesterday and we made this, isn't it sweet? It was great to meet up with other stampers, I hadn't met any locally up to then!

Thanks for dropping by, hope you have a great day!

I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers for this card, it came together so quickly, essential at this time of the year, I am sure the clock goes around faster in December!
It also fits the challenge over at Stamp Something, the theme is Winter Wonderland Somethings, as I made a Christmas card I am sure it works!

The papers are the fantastic My Minds Eye, I have used lots of this on my cards this year! The image is a very sweet one from Sugar Nellie. This card will be going to my youngest daughter, it is very her with her pink boots and stripey leggings!
Sorry can't hang about, so much to do before our Christmas guests arrive early next week!

Here is my Whimsy Creation for this week!
A christmas garland.
It is difficult to show the whole thing as it is soooooo long! Here are some closer views.....

I opted for 'Cool Yule' as 'Merry Christmas' was going to be just too long!

I used my fabulous Cricut machine which has had a very long holiday since we first packed up in July but now it is back and I plan to do another project with it very soon! I was thrilled to find an American plug in the box, how convenient!

Here are the Whimsy Winter Racoons, they are so cheeky, love them!Next up is Whimsy 'jolly puppy kisses' from the Crissy Armstrong collection
and the last image I used on my garland is Whimsy 'N'ice friends' also from the Crissy Armstrong collection.

I will drawing the winner at random tomorrow so you won't have long to wait to find out if you won!

Be sure to leave me a comment today if you would like a chance to win this adorable stamp. I will be drawing tomorrow morning!

********************

I found an amazing idea on Ali Edwards blog, (thanks Sparkle for pointing me in the right direction), she makes a December Daily every year. Each day in December she creates a page to document all the treats and traditions of the Christmas period.

I loved the idea and decided I had to create one.
I still have a couple of embellishments to add to my pages but this is the second page (need to add the number 2!) it shows the cards I was making and I had to add an image of the Whimsy snowman 'N'ice friends' stamp that I am using for my cards.

This is the first page, had to show off the advent calendars, the reason the kids are so excited for December 1st! Sorry for the blanked out faces, don't like to show pics of the kids on here!

HOw the pages will lie together.

The first page. I am leaving it like this until I get a family photo on christmas day to take pride of place in the centre.

I'll use some book rings to hold the whole thing together.
Will give you a glimpse of the completed album once it is complete, possibly in January!
*************
Don't forget to join in the Advent fun at Whimsy right up until Christmas! I will be back myself hosting again next friday!
have a fantastic weekend!

Whimsy Advent Event

December is a very exciting month at Whimsy Stamps. Each day up until Christmas at least one of the Whimsy Design Team will be hosting the advent event, showing a new card and offering a prize! Check out the Whimsy Website each day for details on who is hosting that day and where the prize for that day is on offer!

**********
This week Whimsy are sponsoring the
their theme is Christmas!

A very plain and simple card from me today, I have decided that this one was so quick to make it will be my mass produced card for this year, I am hoping to make another 20+ of them tonight!

The snowman stamp is from ~Whimsy Stamps~ 'N'ice friends'

The beauty if this card, apart from the speed to make is that it is made from an a5 piece of card folded in half so it fits an ordinary sized envelope. I have also kept it fairly flat, no bulky embellishments so postage costs are kept to a minimum. I have spent a fortune at the post office already this year!

I cut down the centre of the front of the card and then stuck the image on after decorating, it gives a bit more dimension to an otherwise plain card.
The DP is Basic Grey Fruitcake.

Hope you all have a great day! Thanks for visiting!

Cute Card Thursday ~ Snips and snails

Apologies for being so late, we were so busy celebrating Thanksgiving I didn't get a minute to get online!
Here is my card for this week, the theme is Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails
to create a boys card.
This is one of my favourite Sugar Nellie images for boys, so cool! I need to send my nephew's birthday card early as it is my nieces birthday today and her card hasn't arrived in time! I am gutted, I allowed a week and 2 days and it still didn't make it!
As usual on CCT we have a fantastic prize and the rest of the DT creations are amazing! Hope you find time to play along!
Have a great weekend!
