multi challenge card

I think I have managed to make this card to fit into three challenges! I used Debbie's fab sketch on Spoonful of Sugar, the recipe from Whiff of Joy Challenge and added wire to fit into the Arty Girlz challenge!
The recipe was 3 papers, 2 flowers and 1 button/brad. My 3rd paper is inside as is my 2nd flower. The button is under the metal flower centre, I had to put that on top as the wire coming out the button looked a bit untidy. You have to look quite closely to see the wire but it is around the flower centre!
This is one of the new stamps from the Whiff of Joy spring kit, isn't she sweet?

Supplies: DP~ K&Co 'Blue Awning'

Stamps ~ Whiff of joy 'spring kit', SU 'Circle of friendship',

Embellishments ~ Prima flowers, rub-on, doiley, wire, beads, ribbon

Sugar Bowl Challenge - Three

I made this card for the Sugar Bowl challenge which this time is 'three'. You have to use 3 different patterned papers, 3 different embellishments and 3 Sugar Nellie images. I almost left out one of the patterned papers as the torn corner bit was meant to go inside but I managed to fit in on the front instead! My 3 embellishments are flowers, ribbon and adhesive gems.

The style of this card is called a joy fold card you can find the tutorial for it here
the tutorial is by the ever so talented Beate from Fresh and Fun
This was a very satisfying card to make, it feels so heavy and luxurious!

The ribbon holds the whole thing together when closed as it is quite bulky on the inside!

The images were coloured with watercolour paints, my usual medium!

The sentiment is from a pack of Basic Grey 'Sugared' rub ons.
Supplies: DP ~ K&Co 'Hannah', Basic Grey 'Sugared'
Stamps ~ All from Sugar Nellie
Embellishments ~ Prima flowers, Kaiser gems, ribbon and flower centres from stash.

Ismaki 09/004 ~ something different!

Are you ready for something different? When I saw the Ismaki sketch today I just fancied something with a little elegance! The flower stamp is from a Basic Grey pack called Insignia. The other swirls are from a pack of 7 gypsies stamps I bought from Katy's shop The Glitter Garden last week. I did so well, I got all my new stamps in the Sale and they were such a bargain!
Back to the challenge, Ismaki sketch 09/004 which was set by Manue. the option this week is to use paint. I used a little watercolour paint to colour my stamped flowers.
Sorry about the wonky photo, I am having one of those days....mmm monday again!
Supplies: DP ~ K&Co 'Blue Awning' and matching journal pad
Stamps ~ Basic Grey 'Insignia', 7 Gypsies 'Notting Hill'
Embellishments ~ Martha Stewart ribbon, Prima flower with Papermania metal embellishment

Tilda and friends ATC - something sticky

The challenge on Tilda and Friends ATC this week is something sticky.
As this is a masculine ATC and I want to keep it flat so that I can turn it into a bookmark I was limited with embellishments. I found these sticky ribbons by Laura Ashley which went pretty well with the K&Co DP.
The image is Magnolia and the sentiment stamp is Stampin' up.

Sugar Bowl Challenge - sketch by Tiets

This stamp is one from my Guest DT package from Sugar Nellie, it is one of my favourites of Simon and Lola, they are so sweet, looking all snuggly.
I made this card for the Sugar Bowl first challenge which was a fabulous sketch by Tiets, do pop over and join in they have an amazing prize on offer and you still have another week to participate!
I am thrilled that I have been able to get so many cards made this week! After a long break I wondered if I would ever find the time again! Only a little bit of normality though as I have 2 little people home from school, what looked like a bad cold now is looking more like flu. The poor things, they have never been so still for so long or so quiet! They are both lying on the sofa watching the Family Movie channel!

Supplies: DP~K&Co 'Blue Awning',
Stamps~ Sugar Nellie 'Simon and Lola', SU 'circle of friendship'

Sugar Nellie ~ Rory

Couldn't resist making a card with the cute Rory from Sugar Nellie! He arrived yesterday with a few other yummy stamps I couldn't resist buying at the weekend from Funky Kits! The papers are new too, they are Fancy Pants and the note is from K&Co Blue Awning Journal Pad, love these, they add instant appeal!
With some flowers this image could easily be adapted for a feminine card but I decided to stick to buttons for a more masculine look!
This is my first card in about 3 weeks, can you believe it? I nearly didn't know where to start and was seriously lacking in confidence - must not take such long breaks in future!
Thanks for visiting!
Supplies: Stamp ~ Sugar Nellie 'Rory'
DP ~ Fancy Pants 'Papa'
Embellishments ~ K&Co Blue Awning journal pad, buttons, photo corners and ticket from RAK, Star charm from Jeneca Beads

Ismaki and a very late Saturday Workout!

I had such a job trying to get this post on here, I tried to get it on last night but it was obviously a bit late as I accidently posted it on CCT! Quickly removed it and then couldn't get the photo back on, still having problems with that today but finally worked out a way. Now, my Saturday's workout challenge is a week late, I was already leaving it very late posting last night but the new challenge is up so I missed it! Oh well, better luck next time!

This is my card using this week's Ismaki #22 sketch. I have turned it around in case you don't see the sketch immediately!I also made this card for the Saturday's workout challenge but of course it is nearly next week's challenge now so cutting it very fine, sorry for my lateness with this card. the theme was stitching.I don't know where all my crafting time has gone lately! I do hope to get caught up thisweekend! This image came to me this week from Nicola of My Paper World, I was thrilled to receive it, it is so cute, couldn't wait to use it! Thanks a million Nicola! The sentiment stamp came from Debbie of Crafting Fairy, thanks for that one too, think I might have to invest in these stamps! They work perfectly with the Nestabilities!

A spoon full of sugar ~ colour scheme

The second challenge on A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge is a colour scheme, this is what Debbie asked from us ~
This week we are asking you to use all the following 3 colours on your cards Pink, Blue and Green (any shades) + you can also use flesh colour and a little bit of brown for hair or Animals.
This is very colourful for me and yet still in my usual muted tones, I am not sure about it but I am having one of those weeks where I don't like anything I make.
I did sneak in a bit of extra beige, sssshhh, don't tell anyone! I made the ticket stamps and stuck them on before realising they shouldn't have been in that colour! That is me in the naughty corner!
I used the two ticket stamps together for the first time after seeing fellow design team member Camilla using them like that, love the effect and you get two greetings in one! Thanks for the inspiration Camilla! Pop on over and check out her card and the rest of the team's work, they are so gorgeous!
As if you need any other excuse to play Debbie is donating a super cute stamp by Rachelle Ann Miller to one lucky participant who will be drawn at random next week!

DP ~ K & Co 'Hannah' range
