Sugar Bowl and Stamp Something

Marlene has created a fantastic sketch for the Sugar Bowl challenge. Still having circle problems so the compass had to be put to use again!
I used Sugar Nellie 'Perfect Playmates' stamp and the DP is Basic Grey 'Lemonade'.
the Stamp Something challenge this week is to use your favourite colours or papers, well if you hadn't noticed already these are my favourite colours. In fact I have to buy pink and green card by the lorry load!
the flowers and pearls are prima and the pretty lace ribbon is from Wal-mart. The leaf punch is Martha Stewart also sold in Wal-mart.

Image coloured using Copics.

Looks like we have a busy weekend ahead, hope you all have a great one too!

AT last another card!

I have been working on this card for days, the paper piecing took forever and of course I had to keep putting it down to get on with the moving into the house.
The challenges I initially started this for are long gone but it fits perfectly into the Basic Grey Challenge. It is an inspiration challenge(so I guess I did this backwards)and the colours are so perfect a match!

Supplies: Digi Image (Mo Manning)
DP: Secret Garden Daisy from the Paper co.
Basic Grey 'Wisteria'
Embellishments : Tim Holz Muse Token
WRMemory keepers glitter brads
Couldn't resist showing you my Yard Sale find from saturday! This is my new crafting table! It is huge and was such a bargain! We found a few other things but not crafting related so I will spare you, love Yard Saleing, we go out super early get our brekkie from Starbucks and off we go! I even got a pair of skis this week.....that was bittersweet though as that will use up some of my precious craft time!*!*!
Hope you all had a great weekend and those of you in the US a great holiday weekend!

Born to be Wild

I managed to make this card yesterday morning after my small craft box of essentials arrived, of course it was at the bottom of the last box I looked in! I was thrilled to see the rest of my Copics again and some extra images and a handful of embellishments. It was like Christmas, can't wait to unpack the rest of my craft room when the stuff from the boat comes!
This card fits nicely into the Double Dutch challenge which is to go back in time. You can choose any of the previous challenges. I chose challenge 4 which was Pick and Choose, the 3 techniques I chose to use were 4. Distressing 8. Stamping and 9. Punching

Supplies:
Bella image
DP: Basic Grey 'two scoops'
Stamps : Martha Stewart 'swirls'
Embellishments: Tim Holtz chain, metal birthday ribbon slider from Jo-anns, Martha Stewart Leaf punch, flowers unknown make, pearls and gems.
********
This morning we mooched around a number of yard sales and found these two gems. They are going to be perfect for storing little crafty bits and pieces and were only $5 and $2!
This afternoon we ended up at Robert's oddly enough! got some gorgeous papers, some desperately needed cardstock and some other scrumptious bits and pieces. Had to cut the fun shopping short though as we then had to do the boring stuff......pans, cutlery, toaster, crockpot.........endless list.......
Moving into our house tomorrow, can't wait! See you again later in the week!
Hope you are all having a fabulous weekend!

Spoonful ~ Buttons Galore!

I was honoured to be asked to be a Guest Designer for A Spoonful of sugar this week by Karen who very kindly brought us some sunshine back from her holiday in Spain last week, thanks hun!
The challenge theme this week is Buttons Galore! The DT cards are amazing and they have a fantastic prize to be won!
I made another of my book cards, this time for my daughter, the first time I made a girly one. She loved it! Her eyes lit up when she saw it!
She especially loved the little bag of sweeties!

The images are the fabulous Sugar Nellie 'Sweet and Sassy' and 'flowers' designed by Elisabeth Bell!

The papers are Basic Grey 'Lily Kate' and Doodlebug

The sentiment is a Basic Grey rub-on

I created a little box to attach so that the sweeties had a little holder.
Make sure you don't miss Spoonful next week as it is their blogaversary so lots of exciting things happening!

Think I covered all supplies but any questions just shout!
I am back in the garden today, just loving the sunshine, lots of jobs to do out there but they are never a problem if the weather is good! Hope you are having great weather too!
Have a fabby day!

Baseball Connor ~ Cool Kid!

I am cutting it fine with this one as I used the Friday Sketcher's Sketch by Carole from last week for my layout but it may be just a bit too late! I have had a busy old week so didn't get to post it earlier!
It also fits into the Spoonful of Sugar Challenge which asks for Gems!
I am also entering it for the last (for now) Arty Girlz challenge which is 'stamping'
Here is Baseball Connor from Whimsy Stamps, isn't he adorable? I so enjoyed colouring him and my son just loves him! I can see him being used on lots of projects!
Fantastic news from Whimsy! Denise now has Basic Grey paper pads, buttons and brads, they are gorgeous and my favourite papers so I will definitely be rushing over there to snap some up!
You can also get a first glimpse of the new animals due for release early in April, they are so cute! Have a look here!
This one had to go in the mail so no money!!! Instead I found the flattest chocolate bars I could find, I wish I could see my nephew's face when he opens this, hopefully the postman will get it to him in the morning!
I used my new Crackle effect stamp by Crafty Individuals! I also stamped the stars and the boy motif which were both Studio G stamps! The sentiment is a rub-on. Supplies: Stamps ~ Whimsy Stamps 'Baseball Connor', Crafty Individuals 'crackle', Studio G 'boy'

Cute Card Thursday ~ Recipe

This week on Cute Card Thursday we have a recipe to follow set by Lynn who
is now lying low (on holiday) as she gave us a real stinker!
Her challenge is this, take 1 thing torn, 2 papers and 4 embellishments! Hah, easy I hear you say, until you hear her catch....if you layer your flowers, each
layer, each brad has to be counted as an embellishment! This was a REAL challenge for someone like me who likes to be very liberal with embellishments!
I decided to play safe and cover a shopping jotter that I have been meaning to alter for a while. This is one of the sweet Gorjuss girls from Sugar Nellie.
I might have stretched the rules just a little, I made my flower out of my patterned paper so I didn't count it as an embellishment but I did count the rub-on! You have to be quite creative with this challenge! My 4 embellishments are the rik rak ribbon, the spacer, the brad and the rub-on.
We have a super set of stamps as a prize to give away with this challenge kindly donated from The Greeting Farm!
It is the Happy Chef set and is so cute!
Supplies: Notebook
Stamps : Sugar Nellie Gorjuss girl, Crafty Individuals letter stamp
DP : Basic Grey 'Sugared'
Embellishments : Spacer from Ebay, Heidi Swapp brad, rik rak and rub on.

Happy Birthday Cute Card Thursday!

Exciting things going on over at Cute Card Thursday today! It is our first birthday!
We have a special sketch to follow designed by super talented Katharina and it is also a Celebration theme!
*****************
We decided to give CCT a face lift for our birthday! Lynn and Jo from Siggi Shop have been working so hard all week to make the blog look super duper for today! Well, it is only right that it dresses up for its birthday!
We have an amazing line up of prizes from our fabulous sponsors

I just had to make one of these special book cards for my son's birthday. He loves to go ski-ing so this Edwin was just perfect!
Katharina's sketch is a dream to use and take a look at the rest of the DT cards they all look so different, it is amazing how many ways you can use the same sketch. Must admit I did switch the image and the sentiment around to suit my purpose!
We have a very special Guest designer this week, lovely Marlene returns for one week only with a beautiful card! We were thrilled when she agreed to return for our bithday week!
I kept the inside very similar to the last one I made, just added a sweet little verse and this time I left the jelly beans uncovered as I really like the colours! I used the little pocket to add some cash and my son's eyes lit up and he announced it was cool!
Of course, now all the kids have spotted this, they all want a little pocket in their card with some cash in! I've really started something now!

Supplies: DP ~ Basic Grey 'Archaic'
Stamps ~ Magnolia 'Edwin ski-ing', Basic Grey 'Archaic', SU 'Circle of friendship'
Embellishments ~ eyelet and twine
Tools ~ sewing machine, cuttlebug, nestabilities

Cute Card Thursday ~ Wine and Dine

The theme for Cute Card Thursday this week is Wine and Dine. It can be food or drink related or both. Do check out the amazing DT cards this week, you might be surprised how many of us used alcohol related images!
We have another amazing prize this week a voucher kindly donated by Poppicrafts!
We have a new guest designer this week, Sharon has created a stunning gift bag and tag.
I have seen a couple of these envelope cards around and I thought this was a good opportunity to try one myself as I will add some money or a voucher in with this card. I made the envelope using my scor-pal. The DP wasn't double sided so I had to put 2 sheets back to back resulting in a lovely thick envelope.
The DP and lettering are from the Basic Grey Sugared pack, you can win one of these here!

The sweet image is Magnolia from the summer kit collection. She is my Tilda of choice for adult cards, you can see why! She was coloured with watercolour paints and distress inks.

Supplies: DP ~ Basic Grey 'Sugared'

Stamps ~ Magnolia

Embellishments ~ Prima flowers, Basic Grey Sugared buttons, Lace and ribbon from stash.

Thank you so much for dropping in, hope to catch up with everyone soon, have a great day!

Cute Card Thursday ~ Animal Magic

The challenge over at Cute Card Thursday this week is......
Animal Magic!
~As soon as this cute Whimsy Stamp arrived at the weekend I knew it had to be him, I just love this naughty bunny! This stamp is called 'Whimsy Bunny with Snowman' and can be bought here!
He reminds me of the hare that runs around in our garden and at this time of year eats my crocus flower heads! He is so naughty too but I love him so I don't mind really!
We have a new sponsor this week, Craftaway have given us a gorgeous cute Riley stamp to give away! They have 20% off until saturday so it is well worth a visit, a good time to stock up on that Bazzill and your favourite DP!
We also have Silvia as our Guest Designer again this week, you can see her fabulous card and the regular Design Teams beautiful creations here!
I decorated the inside but kept it fairly plain as it took me forever to do this card.....why is it that sometimes a card will take a whole day or longer and others will take a couple of hours! I kept moving things about and changing things on here, you know how it is?
Supplies: DP ~ Basic Grey 'Dasher' and 'Figgy Pudding'
Stamps ~ Whimsy Stamps Animal Collection 'Bunny with Snowman'
Inkadinkado 'Merry Christmas Postage stamp set'
Embellishments ~ Prima 'Christmas Pail', charms from Ebay
Tools ~ Sewing Machine,
Colouring ~ Watercolour Paints
Thank you so much for your visit, I hope you find time to play along with us!
