Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I have used another one of Meljen's Designs rubber stamps, now available at Whimsy Stamps,  for this card.
We have a very creative theme over at Cute Card Thursday
Blast from the Past!
You can choose from any of our earlier themes, now as we have been going for over 2 years you have quite a lot to choose from!
I chose challenge 49 from February 2009, Animal Magic.
The papers I used are Basic Grey, the tree paper is still one of my all time favourite Christmas designs!
The snowflake strip is a Martha Stewart punch, glittered with stickles.  The individual snowflakes are also M.S!
The ticket stamp is from Whimsy stamps designed by Ann Vento aka Raindrop Echo Designs who has also designed the fabulous ticket die now available from Whimsy Stamps, makes cutting out all those tickets so simple!
The central die is a Nellie Snedden die  I got from Bunny Zoe Crafts.
****************
As usual we have a fabulous sponsor with a fabulous prize
Do drop by the rest of the DT blogs they will help remind you of the former challenges and have created some gorgeous cards as always!
******************
A quick reminder that Whimsy stamps are celebrating their 2nd anniversary this month!  This week they are giving away a stamp a day, check out the details over on the Whimsy Inspiration Blog!

Hope those of you celebrating Thanksgiving today are having a lovely time with family and friends and feasting!  I love this holiday we have 'inherited' since moving here!  It is so nice to have everyone off work and school and have a lovely turkey dinner altogether (it gives me the opportunity to practice for Christmas Day as we have turkey then too)!   We are even going to try out one of the Christmas Puddings I just made this week, well, we need to know if they are good enough!
To everyone else not celebrating Happy Thursday!

Cute Card Thursday - Sketch by Susan!

Susan designed a fabulous sketch for us to use this week on
I was in such a hurry to put this together but the sketch helped speed things up and I completed it in no time at all!
The image is one of the new rubber stamps from Whimsy Stamps illustrated by Meljen's Designs.  he is called Santa's Puppy helper!
The ticket stamps are also from Whimsy Stamps and were cut out using the new Whimsy ticket die, makes cutting them out a breeze, I love it! The die is available to pre-order and should be ready to ship end of November!
I used my new Martha Stewart double edge punch to make the row of snowflakes, so love this punch!  The other snowflakes are also Martha Stewart as is the baker's twine.
On the inside I used a sweet stamp from Whimsy Stamps which is part of the set 'Winter Letter Seals', I think it makes a perfect small sentiment for inside the card.

This week at CCT we are sponsored by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps with another fabulous prize on offer!
*********************
Other challenges I am entering with this card -
A spoonful of Sugar ~ distressing
Crafty Creations ~ beautiful insides

Bah-humbug ~ rudolph reindeer

I hope you get the chance to drop by the rest of the CCT DT to see their fabulous creations and hopefully get the opportunity to try out the sketch this week!"

Birthday Baking!

Another project using the new Whimsy Stamps Designer papers available in the Whimsy online store now!
I used 'Holiday Folly', even though this is not a Christmas card the papers are ideal for this creation!  I love the pinstripe for the apron! All the papers used here are from the pack.
My custom design rubber stamp for the back, you can get yours for 20% off this week, part of the month long celebration for Whimsy's 2nd Anniversary!
The ticket stamp and sentiment are also from Whimsy Stamps and I cut out the ticket with the new Whimsy Stamps ticket die, makes cutting these tickets out a breeze!
I used this sweet 'Kitchen Tilda' stamp from Magnolia's  a little yummy for your tummy collection.
Hope my card is bright enough to enter the Moving along with the Times challenge 'Nice and Bright', I am also entering it into the Meljen's Designs challenge 'Food'

Whimsy stamps new designer paper!

I love the way Michelle Wooderson puts things together and when I saw her holiday pouches I knew I had to give them a try.
Michelle has the brown sacks to purchase in her Etsy store but I couldn't wait so I used a brown envelope which I stuck down and cut one end off.  I then used a Martha Stewart border punch for a decorative finish.
I have used the brand new Whimsy Stamps Designer Paper, this one is from the delicious Holiday Folly pack.  The images on the paper were hand drawn and coloured by Whimsy artist Crissy Armstrong and arranged by Whimsy graphics designer Ann Vento.  The images are the perfect size for cards and other small creations.  This paper is one of my favourites from the pack!
I have also used Whimsy Stamps Winter Letter Seals for the sentiment on the clothes peg.
The lace is from Bunny Zoe's crafts and the snowflakes and buttons I got from Michaels.
I am entering this into Bunny Zoe's crafts challenge this week which is christmas -not a card!
Also, the sweet stamping challenge is snowflakes!

Hoping to have time to get something else made today as we are planning a quiet weekend at home as most of the family are full of cold!  Only eldest daughter seems to have escaped it so far!
Hope you are having a fantastic weekend, thanks for dropping by!

Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes!

I am a little late with my post today, too busy to schedule yesterday then today went awry with 2 sick kids!
A nice easy one this week at Cute Card Thursday
Anything Goes!
AFter seeing Simonne's fantastic tags in the Whimsy Stamps blog hop I just had to make a set.  I always seem to run out of tags and never really like the shop bought ones.  I also thought they would make a nice little gift, packaged up nicely.
The gorgeous stamps I used are the new Whimsy Stamps 'Winter Letter Seals' designed by Ann Vento aka Raindrop Echo Designs.  They are so perfect to use as tags!
I used my new Nellie Snedden dies that I won from Bunny Zoe's crafts via ASOS.  Love them, thank you Nikki and Debbie!
As I have snowflakes on my tags, I am going to enter the A Spoonful of Sugar challenge again this week!
ONe of the stamps has a blank spot in the middle so you have options to add quotes or as I did the to/from which works perfectly on the back of each tag!
Now to find some nice red wrapping paper to match!
Our sponsor this week over at CCT is Simon Says Stamp so once again a fabulous prize of a $25 voucher,  is on offer to one lucky winner!
Hope you get the chance to see the rest of the DT creations, they have created some gorgeous offerings  as always!

Cute Card Thursday - Gently does it!

The theme for Cute Card Thursday this week is
Gently does it!
To use vellum or parchment, if you don't have either one you can also use tissue paper or similar.
I had to go searching through an old drawer to find my vellum it has been ages since I last used any.
I was thrilled to find this Christmas vellum and discovered by using distress inks on the back you can get the lettering to show up really well.  I love the effect on the torn edges too.
Might be keeping it closer at hand now!

I used this super sweet digital image from Whimsy Stamps, designed by Crissy Armstrong, she is called Little Christmas Angel.
She is perfect to enter Crissy's challenge Sundays with Crissy which asks for red, green and gold!
ABC christmas challenge is Winter Wonderland
This week CCT is sponsored by Meljen's designs, now available to purchase from Whimsy Stamps.
Whimsy Stamps are celebrating their second anniversary this month and have lots of special offers to celebrate. This week you can get 25% off your rubber stamp purchase!

Happy Bonfire Night to all who celebrate.  We are having a party to celebrate here as of course it isn't a US holiday so we have to DIO! (Do it ourselves)
Whatever you are planning this weekend,  hope it is a fun one!

WOYWW

What is on my workdesk today?
This little cutie who will feature on my card tomorrow!  She is available from Whimsy Stamps and is a digital image from the Crissy Armstrong collection.

I was so excited to see that Starbucks had their Christmas cups in! At the same time, they had some cinnamon scented pine cones at the door and I just had to get them too!  Suddenly got a little over excited for   Christmas!  Now just got to get through my giant list of To Do's before then!
If you don't know what WOYWW is then pop on over to Julia's blog and you too can play along!
