Love makes the world go round!

I made this for the Papertake Weekly Challenge which is 'blue and green should never be seen'. I just bought these papers last week and have been so looking forward to using them. I so love vintage style patterns. They are K&Co Classic from the Margo range as is the Grand Adhesion sticker. I used my sewing machine to do the stitching, the fancy stitching is called fagoting stitch. I used this image I received from my SBS 4 sister Chris, thank you Chris I was so looking forward to using her. I am still waiting for my new ones from Magnolia.

You could make a Get Well card or a mini book, an altered item or gift box, anything really that would cheer up a sick friend or relative!
My horse stamp still hasn't arrived so I used this gorgeous image that Andrea kindly sent to me.
If you would like to participate in the challenge pop over to the blog and and link up your card, you will also see some gorgeous examples by the Design Team some fabulous inspiration there!

Easter Bunny

This little cutie fits into lots of challenges this week, I know I am being a bit cheeky but when needs must. I am not going to have much time later in the week as we have family coming to stay on thursday so tomorrow I will be cleaning and organising and thursday I will be baking cakes and making up beds! So here goes, firstly I used Nicola's sketch #4 over at My Paper World, another great sketch, thanks Nicola!
I used baby pink to fit in with the challenge over at UKStampers Sugar Nellie Challenge of course using a gorgeous Sugar Nellie stamp too!
VEry conveniently, it also fits for the Papertake Weekly Challenge which was to use springtime as a theme, so here is my Easter card! I can't actually enter this card into their giveaway though as they have a fabulous prize this week and they ask you to make a card solely for the challenge and not combine with other challenges. Pop on over and have a look, the stamps they are giving away are so cute, really worth entering!
I am going to be really cheeky now and also enter it into the Sweet Sugar Challenge which this week is to dress up your Nellies! I paperpieced her dress and ears so I think she counts. I am going to do another one for this challenge though as I am pushing it with this card and I love paper piecing and I have a cute little boy on my desk that I am working on today!!
I am tickled with how many challenges I could get this card to fit in, I think one week I will challenge myself to make a card that will fit in every challenge, might be difficult combining sketches though!
Phew, I have writer's cramp now! WEll typer's cramp if there is such a thing!

Supplies: White and pink cardstock, DP-Daisy D's Lullaby small flowers, Sugar Nellie stamp 'bunny with flowers', Papermania adhesive stones, sentiment made on pooter, ribbon from Ribbon Oasis, vintage ribbon.

Tilda & Co - Stringaling!

The Challenge this week on Tilda & Co is
Stringaling! Donna wants to see string on your Magnolia projects this week.
I started with this noticeboard which I have been using for a few months but it was very dull. I have been wanting to spruce it up for a while and I thought this challenge was perfect for it. I stamped the bottom with Stazon. Added a hanging string to hand on bits and pieces and even cards when I am waiting for them to dry.
I then coiled some string to make it into the snail's shell. Added some braid, ribbon and flowers and now it is so much prettier!

close up of the snail! Tilda is repositional and therefore also easy to change, I will change her to suit the seasons!

All items were just things from my stash, oh and a ball of string of course! The stamps I used for the board were Magnolia 'tilda with teddy' and some studio G stamps. Blooms are bazzill.

The rest of the DT team have come up with some fantastic ideas, I love all their projects, you really must pop over and take a look at them all!

REcycling Mothers Day

Sorry it has been quiet here for a few days, we have been away for a long weekend catching up with family and friends. It has been so lovely, the weather has been very kind to us and we managed to fit a lot into a short time. Even so, it is so lovely to be home!
The challenge is up on Tilda & Co and it is a double challenge again this week, combining a Mothers Day theme with a theme chosen by yours truly, recycling!
Donna also has a special prize this week donated by Sally of Bootiful Stampz! Pop on over to see the gorgeous stamps she is donating along with a Stazon ink pad, what a fabulous prize.
I also have to thank Donna for fixing my banner, the wording wasn't quite right and she did great job without me even asking, thanks Donna you are a sweetie!
For my recycling bits I used a ribbon taken from a delicious box of Thornton's chocs and 3 sweet floral shaped buttons that I took from an old dress that one of my girls used to wear. I did attempt to make a chipboard sentiment out of a cereal box but it didn't look quite right so I used a rub-on instead, I have kept the word though and I will use it in the future, Never throw anything away! It will always come in useful!

Supplies: Cream and brown cardstock, Crate paper - twig, Magnolia stamp 'Tilda baking', 'towel', Panduro heart stamp. Ribbon from box of chocs and old buttons. Royal Langnickel rub-on sentiment.

I used my new Sugar Nellie 'Bunny with Flowers', isn't she sweet? I love these new stamps and can't wait to try them all out, so guess what I will be showing over the next few weeks, lots and lots of Sugar Nellie, at least until my new Tilda's arrive!

Tilda & Co Romance!

The Tilda & Co challenge this week gives you a choice, you can choose between Romance or Buckle, some great examples of both are on the challenge blog here.

You can Either Chose to do a ROMANCE Or you can chose to do BUCKLE As we have all decided there is way too many valentines Challenges out at the moment some people may be sick them already, or if you anything like me you only send 1 Romance/Valentine Card so don't want to make more than you need too.

I have already made my valentines card, in fact I made 2 so decided to make a bag. This is a new thing for me and I so enjoyed making it. I had a job getting a good photograph too which showed the ribbon, my only hangers are away from good light.

Fun in the snow

Oooooooh, it is a gorgeous day here, lots of snow, well an inch or so anyway! Plenty to play in! I love it when it is at a weekend so the kids get to play all day. We have already been out building barricades for them so they can hide and throw snowballs at each other!
There is something about seeing a robin in the snow!

This is what happens when you are furry and insist in rolling in snow for half an hour!

Bizzarre!
hope you are having fun wherever you are!
Have a great weekend!

Huge thanks to Andrea (Andreas world)who gave me this award, I am honoured!
I also received a tag from Andrea (frog) this week but I haven't had the chance to do it yet! thank you Andrea I will get around to it soon!

Good mail day!

It has been a funny old day, we woke to snow blizzards then just after breakfast the power went off for 7 hours unexpectedly! The kids ended up having an extra day off school so it has felt a bit strange!
The mail was a welcome arrival, a beautiful card made by Marlou, it is one of her own handmade felt embellishments and it looks even better in real life! Also a lovely image swap with my SBS sister Chris a gorgeous card and some fabulous images I can't wait to get creating with!
