WOYWW

Wow, doesn't Wednesday come around fast, I am still wondering what happened to my weekend!
here we are again at WOYWW
This is my workdesk this morning, I am polishing my halo now as I cleaned up last night.  Now this is not normal for midweek so don't expect to see it again but I finished a card and so decided to give myself a clean space to work on today!
It is such grim day and yes, that is snow outside, ugghh!  The pics are rubbish as the light is so poor but hey, you can't pick the weather!

So stuff on my desk today...a Whimsy Carousel horse coloured and ready to make into a card and a Sugar Nellie image under that with the card partially made..must get it finished!
New stamps from Belles and Whistles to make party invites, the kids are hoping for a pool party, lets hope the weather improves dramatically!
and a new stampin up punch still waiting to be released from its bag.
The other bits and pieces are just that, bits left over from previous projects and never seem to find their way back home.
The white lantern is from TJ Maxx and so pretty, just have to have it sitting there!
and yey, the rose is still alive!
and by special request, here is another of those coasters....
can't wait to come and have a nose....
so WOYW?  if you want to join in go and visit Julia to leave your link!
Have a great day!

Cute Card Thursday ~ A Sketch by Andrea

Andrea has given us a fantastic sketch to follow this week on
I used my new stamp 'Gwendolyn' from Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps, she is illustrated by Crissy Armstrong who also illustrates for Whimsy Stamps she has recently given us some gorgeous digi stamps and very soon we should have some new rubber from Crissy at Whimsy!  Watch this space!
Gwendolyn is coloured with distress inks.
I used Pink Paislee 'Queen Bee' designer papers, the flowers are Prima as is the pretty stone in the centre.  The little looking glass charm is taken from a charm bracelet I got in a Walmart sale!

This was the first day in months that I have been able to photograph outdoors, much prefer it.  It was lovely to finally uncover the garden table and chairs!
We have a fabulous prize again this week, from our sponsors Alota Rubber Stamps.
Hope you can join in with us this week and drop by the rest of the DT, they have come up with some amazing cards!

WOYWW

Have you come across Whats on your workspace Wednesday?
I love to see what is on other people's desks so thought it only fair to show mine!
First though I have to show you it clean, this was Monday morning, I love to sit down at a clean and tidy desk but it doesn't happen too often as I usually have things rolling on into the next day!
You can see my well worn mat, the obligatory Starbucks, my morning treat, the other essentials to the right, my cutters which never get put away, my distress ink plate and stampin' scrub.  The rose plant was a Valentines gift from hubby and yes, it is still alive!!!!

Yikes, and this was this morning....

Those images are for my youngest kids birthday cards, need to get to work on them soon as are the card blanks ready to cover.  Not even sure why the other images are there, no plans for them just yet!
This is my current coaster, I have a set of them we brought over from Scotland, they are hilarious and I love them all, might show another one next week!

Perched on the edge of my desk today are some of my latest purchases, a couple of stamps from Susanas Custom Art and Card Design, very fast delivery and she added a sweet little pack of goodies as a thank you!
My Whimsy digital images are underneath and a Magnolia Edwin that I may be using as a card for my Son's friend for this weekend,  it seems to be party season again!

Let me know if you are playing along with WOYWW I would love to come and have a nose around!
Have a great day!

Whimsy Stamps are sponsoring A Spoonful of Sugar challenge this week, you can win a $15 gift certificate to spend in the Whimsy Online StoreDebbie (happy birthday!)  asked the Whimsy Stamps Design Team to be guest designers with the them to make something for a birthday.
I was a little late with my offering though as I was away on holiday so this was a bit last minute  so  sorry if it looks like it was whipped up in no time, it was!
Luckily I had the digi image of Pebbles the Cat drawn by Crissy Armstrong and the Friends sentiment designed by Ann Vento aka Raindrop Echo Designs both from Whimsy Stamps so I was putting the card together in minutes!
This card is perfect for Ann's Sentimental Sundays challenge which this week is themed
Blooming gorgeous!
I am also going to enter it into the Charisma Cardz Challenge which is monochromatic.
Seem to have lost my mojo a bit this week, instead caught a bit of spring cleaning fever and I don't get it very often so thought I best run with it.  I am sure I will be fully recovered and back to normal next week!
Hope you are enjoying some lovely hot, sunny weather like we are!

Happy Birthday Just Magnolia plus new Whimsy Sentiments!

They have a fabulous sketch for this week's challenge and are also holding a blog hop, both with fantastic prizes from Simon Says Stamp
one of my favourite stores now I am on this side of the pond!

I used this very sweet Tilda from Magnolia, she is quite old now but still my favourite although I have decided it is time to get some of those new ones, aren't they adorable?

The sentiments are from Whimsy Stamps designed by our very own talented teamie Ann Vento aka Raindrop Echo Designs.  I have used her sentiments all week as there is now something for every occasion, I may never need buy another sentiment!  Although I am sure when Ann designs some new ones for us I will certainly be using them again!  Ann has a new challenge blog starting this Sunday 18th April using Sentiments called Sentimental Sunday!  Can't wait!

cute card thursday ~ Touchy Feely

Click here for my Whimsy Stamps blog hop post!

This week on Cute Card Thursday the theme is
Touchy Feely
My touchy feely is that gorgeous fringed ribbon.
I used the utterly adorable 'Maya blowing bubbles' digital image from Whimsy Stamps
illustrated by Crissy Armstrong.
Ann Vento aka Raindrop Echo Designs has given us oodles of fabulous sentiments with I think another set hitting the Whimsy Online Store today!
I loved this quote but couldn't resist using another one on the inside of the card!
The sentiment stamps are such good value with each set giving you at least 4 sentiments or quotes.  The sentiment set I used is called 'Maya blowing bubbles sentiments' designed especially to work alongside Crissy's Maya image but in no way are they limited to this use!

you could win a $15 gift certificate to spend in the Whimsy Online Store!
They have a fabulous sketch over there which I followed.
Unfortunately, I have to confess to not owning a single Promarker so my image is coloured with Copics therefore I am not really eligible for this challenge but still, I couldn't resist the amazing sketch!

totally gorjuss - texture (my textured fabric)
Stamptacular - spots and dots
Stamp, scrap and doodle - birthday card

It's a Celebration!

My eldest daughter just passed her road driving test, yahoo! No more alcohol free weekends waiting to go pick up teenagers way past my bedtime!
I struggled to find an image I wanted so ended up having to draw her new car with a little help from PSP I might add, I am no artist!  Believe it or not, she is not a card person but she seemed quite chuffed with this one and put it up on her shelves! If it didn't show her car I am sure it wouldn't have been the case but she does love her little 'bug'!
*******
I followed the sketch on Everybody Art by Tina but I am afraid it may already be too late as I am sure the next challenge is in the morning and of course its already 2.30am in Europe
I didn't want to post this until I was sure she had passed!
*******
The 'Celebration' sentiment is one of the fabulous new digital sentiments now available to purchase and download from Whimsy Stamps. There are so many fantastic sentiments and quotes to choose from we are now utterly spoilt rotten!
I also used a Whimsy Accessory stamp, a gorgeous swirl which is part of the Proud Mama  Rubber Stamp set  from the Carousel Horse Collection designed by Crissy Armstrong,
You can also see the brand new Whimsy Stamps Digital Collection of images designed by Crissy Armstrong and Katie Sowa!
The hop is currently taking place and you have until noon (EST) on friday to join in and leave a link on the Whimsy Home Page to be in with a chance of winning a fantastic prize
a $15 gift certificate for the Whimsy Store
plus digital images from Crissy, Katie, Ann and Whimsy Stamps Design Studio.
See Whimsy Home Page for more details!
**********
The designer paper is from the Paper Company, the letters stamps are from a very old See D's pack, the calendar stamp I think is a mini imaginisce stamp and the gorgeous key is one of a 3 pack set from Making Memories 'metal pebble key'.
**************
did you all enjoy a back to normal day today after school holidays etc? those that have had them, I know some places have still to have their spring break, lucky people!
Hope the weather continues to improve for you all, not so good here, more snow forecast, I am so finished with snow now!  Roll on summer!

Easter Album

The Cute Card Thursday theme this week is
'So Egg-citing!'
Time to show us your last minute Easter treats and cards!
I decided I would like to make an album to pop our family photos in, once we have had Easter that is!
I used the super cute Whimsy Stamps bunny from the 'Bunny with snowman' stamp. The papers on the cover are Basic Grey 'Lily Kate'.

The papers inside are K&Co, I think they are from the Margo collection. The flowers are Primas. I have left spaces for the journalling and the photos will be stuck over the places that are stamped with 'memories'

My inspiration for this album came from this amazing blog I could look at her work all day!

WE have a fantastic sponsor once again this week! Hope you will drop by the rest of the Design Team's blogs, their Easter creations are fabulous!
Hope you all have a fantastic Easter
