Gift bag and Goth Girl!

I thought the theme over on Cute Card Thursday a bit of a toughie this week!  Anyway, this is what I came up with for 'So Transparent!'
********
Our sponsor this week is
they are offering another great prize to one lucky winner!
*********
I made a party favour bag that I decorated and punched out a heart using a Stampin' Up punch.  I added some acetate behind the heart.
I am not happy with the little owl as I always feel I have cheated if I use something ready made but time was against me so he will have to do.
Here is the card I made to give along with the gift bag....

I have been saving this Sugar Nellie 'goth girl' for my friend's daughter's birthday as it is so her style!
I decided to enter the Sugar Bowl challenge this week and have used the fabby sketch by Marlene.  I couldn't use the option 'for the boys'  though as I need 2 girl birthday cards for the weekend with time already very short!
I am also entering
Creative Inspirations ~ colour scheme brown, sage and cream
A spoonful of sugar ~ lets get punchy
Thank you for dropping by, have a fabulous day!

WOYWW

That time of the week again and still not a lot going on here on my desk!  I am colouring a couple of images with Copics today.  Need 2 cards for the weekend!
Here is the view from my craft room window today, looks very nice but not so when you have to shovel the steps!  Thankfully the sun is back so they should dry up nicely!
Hope you play along with WOYWW, if you haven't heard of it pop along to Julia's blog to find out what it is all about!
Have a great Wednesday!

Mind your Mummy!

With so many fabulous Halloween themed challenges going on this week I had to play!
My time to craft ~ ghosties, ghoulies and long legged beasties
and it is digi day over at Stamp Something so this wall hanging is perfect as both the Mummy bear and the Mind your Mummy sentiment are digital images available at Whimsy Stamps!

The fabulous wooden plaque came unpainted from Michaels, I knew as soon as I spotted it what I would turn it into!
A bit of Tim Holtz crackle paint to make it nice and spooky and it was ready for the image and decorations.

Do you like the cobwebs?  They started off as an accident with my glue gun but then I liked the effect and went a little crazy with it!
*************
I am so glad it is Friday! After a great but busy weekend away last week then a week of catching up I am ready for a nice relaxing weekend at home!  We are supposed to be doing a pre-winter clear up in the garden but snow is forecast so we may be doing more snow-shoveling than anything else!
Hope you all have a good one!

Cute Card Thursday - Sketch by Lynn!

This week on Cute Card Thursday we have a fantastic sketch designed by Lynn.
Short on time this week after having a short week last week followed by a long weekend away so I grabbed the first coloured image I had.  He is a cutie, from Lily of the Valley called 'big present'. He is coloured with Distress Inks.
The ticket stamps are from Whimsy Stamps designed by Ann Vento aka Raindrop Echo Designs.
Papers are Tim Holtz - going to run out soon, can't stop using them!
I picked up the little star buttons yesterday in Michaels.
We are sponsored this week by Kraftin Kimmie Stamps
I hope you will join us this week and also pop over to see the rest of the DT cards!
Challenges~

WOYWW

Whats on your work desk Wednesday?
Only a pile of dirty rubber!  Shocking! I normally clean them instantly but lately with very little crafting time I have been cutting corners!  That isn't a real pie next to them but a candle shaped like an apple pie, smells good enough to eat though!

A card my son is busy making for his Dad's birthday!
and far more interesting than what is on my desk today, what was across the street today nibbling at my neighbour's shrubs!
Three moose, only showing you two of them as the large one ?Mom was hiding behind a large tree and I couldn't get a picture of her!

If you want to play along with WOYWW go along to Julia's blog to find out what it is all about!

and the winner is............

The winner of the rubber stamp of your choice from the new Meljen's Designs collection at Whimsy Stamps is

True Random Number Generator  9

Powered by RANDOM.OR

Please email your postal address and choice of stamp  to Denise at whimsystamps@gmail.com

I apologize for my tardiness in posting the winner,  the kids had a long weekend off school so we took off for a short break away.  We had a fantastic time but of course I now have a huge mound of laundry to wade through and the dog has come home from the boarding kennels this morning a little unwell!  She has an upset stomach which she does get occasionally but as the kennels are attached to the vets they went into the heroics and gave her some intravenous fluids and some antibiotics!  A little excessive I thought for one bout of
D & V!  !  After all that she is feeling very sorry for herself!

Must get crack on in the hope that I will have some creative time this week!
have a great day!

Cute Card Thursday - Whats buggin' ya?

Last day to do the Whimsy Blog Hop and celebrate the launch of Meljen's Rubber stamps.  You can visit my post for the Hop here and also enter into a drawing to win one of Meljens fabulous stamps!
Hurry though, it ends on Friday 15th 12 noon (EST)

The theme over at Cute Card Thursday had me perplexed this week until I remembered this stamp I bought a couple of years back, think I may have used it once before! It is from High Hopes Stamps.

The theme is 'Whats buggin' ya?' to use bugs, bees and/or butterflies on your card.
I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder and the Stampin up top note die for the layer beneath the image.
The metal embellishments are all Tim Holtz, apart from the brads, not sure of the make, had them a while.
Stamp Something's challenge this week is something punchy, use punches and dies.
I am also entering the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge, the theme being distressing!
We are sponsored this week by one of our regular sponsors
Please drop by the rest of the DT and see their fabulous, buggy creations!

Kids are on their jollies for the rest of the week so our weekend starts early this week! Looks like good weather too!   Hope you all have a fab one, thanks for dropping by!

Christmas Organizer

There is still time to join in the Whimsy Stamps Blog Hop and don't forget to leave a link on my post to be in with a chance to win one of Meljen's Designs new rubber stamps from Whimsy!

I was so thrilled to have won the
Spoonful of Sugar Challenge last week so I absolutely had to play along again today!  Still trying to decide what to spend my voucher on at BunnyZoe crafts! So much to choose from!
This week the challenge is Winter Wonderland!
So perfect as I have been meaning to make myself a 'Christmas Lists' book for a while, well probably years!  I always have one but it has never been 'altered' before!
I found this notebook in a Yard Sale for pennies and love it, it has lovely old paper inside and the outside wasn't too bad but not at all festive.  I soon sorted that out!
I love it even more now, it  is one of those books that feels as good as it looks!

Paper Sundaes challenge is all about changing seasons and as the snow and festive season will soon be upon us I thought this would be appropriate!
Bah-Humbug Christmas challenge asks for Favourite Cuties!
This one is certainly one of my favourite Cuties!  I even coloured the dog to look like our little pooch!
The stamps I used are
Lily of the Valley ~ skating along
Whimsy Stamps ~ 'Newsprint Ads', 'Holiday Ticket stamps'
Cats Life Press ~ Merry Christmas
Stampin up ~ post card and postcard

The paper is one of my favourites, Basic Grey 'Figgy Pudding - Pepperberry', I have used this every year and the year before last bought heaps of it but it is now sadly dwindling away!
Thanks for dropping by have a great day!

Cute Card Thursday - No Embellishments!

Cute Card Thursday this week has the theme I dread!
No Embellishments!
At first I think the plan was to have literally no embellishments but then we added to allow any embellishments you make yourself i.e. out of paper and card.
I hope you will have a go at this theme, if I can do it anyone can!

This little cutie is ' Mae as Alice' from
our sponsors this week!  Their  digital images are so adorable!

I used the new Whimsy Stamps Newsprint Ads stamp to sit behind the image and the ticket stamps are also from Whimsy Stamps, the make a wish from the  Ticket sentiment set and the to, from stamp is from the newly released Holiday ticket stamp set.

Speaking of new releases, Whimsy are having another blog hop tomorrow at noon to launch the brand new rubber stamps designed by Melissa Jenkins of Meljen's Designs, woohoo, can't wait!
Hope to see you then!
