WOYWW

As you can actually almost see my desk this week thought I would try to join with WOYWW!
I am still in chaos with the unpacking etc but trying to sort out my craft room this week.  Hoping that the day I get to create again won't be too far away!
For those who don't know, we moved into our new house a couple of weeks ago and are simultaneously trying to decorate the whole house and unpack and get settled in!  Not an easy task.  We managed the top floor the week before we moved in so that was the easy part, decorating once furniture and boxes are in not so easy!
My storage is different in this room as my last craft room had a large built in cupboard so I had to get some more storage cubes.  Next, I need to get a second desk which hopefully you will see in action next week.  I like to keep my laptop and printer off my creating desk as I need as much space as possible especially for layouts.
Not sure that this cupboard fits in here.  My new desk will be white and will sit alongside it so I am contemplating painting it white to fit in better.  My only concern is it has a very distressed finish which I am not sure will suit a white look.
Have to show you who else lives in our new house!  This is Mom and baby raccoons! Not managing to get good pictures so far as they only come out when it is almost dark. They are living in our roof but the space they occupy isn't over the main part of the house thankfully, I did hear them one night when I got up to see to our dog and they are noisy, sounded like we had a couple of bears up there!
Looking forward to having a catch up with the WOYWW girls on my tea and coffee breaks, at least I am getting breaks now, the past couple of weeks I have been eating and drinking on the run!
Maybe in the next couple of weeks I will get a moment to create something!
If you want to know more about WOYWW go and visit Julia's blog for details!
Thanks for dropping by!

6 houses in 10 years??? You're either in the military or serial house movers! I last moved 15 years ago and swore never again :) Like the look of your new place, and your new craft room, very nice indeed! Your new residents seem to be taking as much interest in you as you are in them :) Beats our sparrows nest by miles, LOL!

I am so JEALOUS of your craft room!!! It's totally awesome! I'm moving in a couple of months and am really dreading packing all my crafty stuff away... Most likely I'll stay up all night before moving day packing it all...

Have a happy WOYWW!

I actually love moving and decorating and such, I'm so ready to do it again after 12 years in our house but I know that won't be happening! Love your new room and all that storage, I'm insanely jealous! As cute as they are I don't think that racoons in the attic are a good idea, they're incredibly destructive and dirty. Hopefully if they move out you can seal off the entrances!

I'll post us the cake recipe soon, it's really simple, if a little calorific!

The raccoons are cute, but not exactly the creature you want to share a house with. I understand they can be quite mean. Your craft room though--woo hoo! It looks good. I wouldn't paint that cupboard, it looks too cool the way it is. I suppose if it doesn't fit the rest of the decor though it would be jarring to be the color it is. How come so many moves? One thing good that comes from moving is you learn what you really need and what you can do without.

Very jealous of your craft room - lucky you! Not jealous of all your unpacking and decorating though - we're doing our living room at the mo, and I'm not enjoying it. Hope you'll get settled soon! x

Your room is looking good, but am not sure about your house guests, I'd be a little scared they'd decide to venture in! Take care my WOYWW friend, am still snooping, all but a little late! Zo xx
