WOYWW

Hopefully I am posting this on the correct day of the week, seeing as I post Whats on your workdesk Wednesday on a Tuesday evening, it is easy to see where I become confused.  Not helping is the fact I have no idea where I am this week!  I am off to a scrapping retreat on Friday so I don't have the usual amount of days to work with this week, I don't know why that throws me but it does!
So, onto my desk, a template for a Halloween album, doesn't look much now but hopefully after working on it this coming weekend it should be spooktacular!
Also doing today, some stitching of paper, my favourite kind of stitching!  This is for the inside of a card I am making for Thursday's Cute Card Thursday.
If you want more details on WOYWW pop on over to Julia's blog.  I am off to pack up my craft supplies for a weekend of scrapping heaven!
Thanks for dropping by!

I love those papers and really should bring my sewing machine out where I could see it. I might even use it if I did. #9

Sigh, a sewing machine, something else to add to the want list!! Have a great time scrapping, I plan on making my mincemeat this weekend and seeing if I have enough ingredients for the Christmas cake too!! It's all about the food and the socks this week with me!!

I didn't know you're from NBL!! We left Durham when I was 10 so I don't have much of an accent anymore. I like to do Family History too and have chased many branches of my family throughout DUR & NBL. My claim to fame is my Burdess line marrying an Ann Rodham in 1720.... Ann's brother's descendents ended up in Pennsylvania where a certain Hilary Rodham was born, she married some bloke called Clinton!!

Where are your family from?

I also love stitching on cards, but have a long and terrible history with sewing machines! I've just bought a very cheap handheld stitching machine, and expect that to be broken within minutes of me using it too, but really wanted to give it a try - your card looks so gorgeous! Looking forward to more on the album too... Happy WOYWW!

I know what you mean about being confused on days -- I've on vacation for a week and just got home last night. I usually post on Tuesday evenings too -- and start visiting those that have linked up early (or from the UK).

The paper looks great with the stitching. Does sewing on paper dull the needle?

Love that dress form card!! Really gorgeous!
I can't remember if you told me you were from Northumberland (I gathered this from reading your comments on Brenda's blog). I lived up there for 13 years, near Wylam in the Tyne Valley. DH and I worked for Tyne Tees TV in Newcastle!! Whereabouts were you from? It's such a beautiful area, we really loved it. In fact, my eldest son was born in Hexham, so that makes him a Border Reiver!!

lots of blank canvasses on your desk there Deb - intersting to see what they end up as! my machine wont stitch paper to card, and it's a monster to lug out of the cupboard anyway .. .. but I do admire the patience and effect on your stitched creations!
