Cute Card Thursday - A different corner

Our theme for Cute Card Thursday this week is

A Different Corner

as always interpret as you like but some ideas might be to punch out the corner, to embellish the corner to use a corner die or whatever else you can come up with.

I thought a corner bookmark would be perfect!

I roughly used the tutorial by Beate Johns over on Splitcoast Stampers.

although I did make mine slightly bigger to accommodate my image and also adapted the design slightly but the tutorial is a good starting point.

I used Whimsy Stamps Tillys flower card one of the Little Cottage Cuties.

Whimsy Stamps Challenge

I immediately reached for my dies and decided to make a door hanger.

This dragon inspired the do not disturb sign, how perfect is he?

He is a Whimsy Stamp designed by Sylvia Zet called Dreamy Dragon.

Sparkle and shine.

Think I have enough sparkle on here to qualify!

WOYWW

 

Wednesday again, I haven't minded them coming around so fast lately as I am not a huge fan of January!  I don't mind winter in the lead up to Christmas but really I am just done with the snow now! Unfortunate for me really as it will be here until well into March!

I get so excited when I see signs of the real thaw, like grass! 

Still, when the weather is grotty it is a great time to play with paper!

So, time for WOYWW!

Nothing! 

That is because I spent all last weekend tidying up my room and clearing off my desks!  The untidiness that had been lingering since before Christmas was starting to wear me down. 

So here is my lovely white desk, all neat and tidy.  It is now the computer desk, I have decided that it works better that way.  It only took me 8 months to realize it!

My lovely farmhouse table is now cleared of clutter and available to work on!  I will show it in action next week, I promise it won't be so tidy!

I have kept just a tray of everyday items at the end, it just wouldn't be right to put everything out of sight.

 This lovely parcel of goodies was in my mailbox yesterday, part of a swap I took part in along with some other crafty buddies!  Yummy!

Whimsy Stamps January Rubber Stamp and Die Showcase

Hello and welcome to Day 7 of Whimsy Stamps January Rubber Stamp and Die Release Showcase! 

 On Wednesday (23 January) Whimsy Stamps released this month's new rubber designs, Shapeology dies, Whimsy Designer Paper packs, Shape EZ templates and *new* Whimsy Prints pre-coloured toppers. From then until 29 January the Whimsy Stamps DT and Special Guests are showcasing these fabulous new goodies with a daily mini blog hop and I am part of today’s hop! 

I used this adorable set of stamps illustrated by Heidi Schwoerer of 2cuteink.  This is Heidi's first rubber release with Whimsy Stamps and am I glad she joined us!

This set is called Love and Hugs.

I knew the set would be absolutely perfect for a set of small CAS cards.  I kept them very simple so that they are easy to reproduce, small and perfect for mailing!

These are perfect to keep on hand for that last minute card or for the kids to give to friends for valentines.
I am also entering these into the Scrapbook Steals Monday Craft Madness #8 challenge which is valentines.

now as always we encourage you to interpret as you will.  It could be a space theme or as I interpreted it another world such as Narnia!

WOYWW

I have missed many WOYWW's over the past month or so.  Christmas was busy and I had very little creating or computer time.

Even my come back has been slow as I had a lot of DT work to complete for future deadlines so not a lot to show for the last couple of weeks that I have been catching up.

You can see some of the results of that later today and for the next week.

Here on my floor is a box filled with all the crafty goodies I got for Christmas, I have delved in there but not used too much of it up to now!  Also are a couple of packs I have bought recently, they were such bargains, it was a shame not to!

 This little miss just loves to lie on some paper, she has numerous cozy beds around the house but you just can't beat lying on paper and especially paper in plastic!

She is looking a little shaggy, time for a trip to the beauty parlour I think!
