Project Life cards.

Here are a couple of quick Project Life cards I whipped up.
They both use PL 3 x 4 cards for the base.
The white frame is a Technique Tuesday die.
All other stamps and dies are Whimsy Stamps from the new Clear Stamps line. (Links to all stamps and dies below)
The sweet card has some space for journalling and I plan to use it for Easter week.  The lemons card is purely  a decorative filler.

Lemons sentiment - Feeling Fruity Stamps
Lemon die -  Fruit Trio set
Lollipop stamps - Sweet as Candy stamps
Many thanks for dropping by, have a great weekend!

WOYWW

I hope some of you are enjoying a lovely spring day like we had today, it felt so much like summer was just around the corner but I am not fooled, it will probably snow tomorrow!
It has been a busy day on my desk!  This is going to be a travel album, only doing as far as the background up to now as I am waiting for something to arrive before going any further!
It is a Little Yellow Bicycle album that I have been hoarding for a few years, not wanting to break into it, well, finally I am going to be brave and use it!
Have you seen this craze?  It is all over Facebook just now!  Just had to give it a whirl.  These are old Hama beads that my kids had years ago.  They have been in the oven for some time now and still have a hole in the middle.  I hope after a bit longer I might have some enamel dots!
If they don't I may have to pop to Michaels and pick up some newer ones, maybe the old recipe doesn't work!
After I put the album aside I got to work on a small project life card for last year's Halloween page.  You might recognize the Halloween stamp as one I was embossing last week, see, I knew I would need them soon!  I am very erratic in my way of doing Project Life, I tend to do random cards which I hope will fit in somewhere rather than working on a page at a time in order!  I don't like that kind of discipline, rather do what I feel like when I feel like it!
Has anyone read this book series?  They have been around for a while.  I had  a couple of books from the series since picking them up in a Yard Sale last year but not the 1st book so I ordered the ones I was missing after being recommended them by some friends.  These just arrived this evening, perfect timing as I just finished my last book!
Sorry, it has been a long post, I do normally try to keep them short but I had a bit more to share this week!
If you would like to join in with us pop on over to Julia's blog for more details!

Day 4 Whimsy Stamps March Release

Welcome to the 4th Day of the Whimsy Stamps March Release event.
We are releasing a fabulous selection of new rubber stamps, clear stamps, shapeology dies and papers this month.  Today the Whimsy DT is holding a blog hop to share sneak peeks of some of the brand new stamps by Crissy Armstrong and Elisabeth Bell. The entire new release is now available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store!

We have hidden FOUR prizes of 2 new release rubber stamps somewhere on the DT’s blogs throughout the 5-day release event.  As the location of the prizes are secret, be sure to leave a comment on ALL the stops on each daily blog hop to maximize your chance of winning! We will draw the lucky winners over the weekend and announce them here on the Whimsy blog on Monday (March 24th).

Today I have created a Project Life card which is my current crafting addiction!
I used Crissy's Strawberry Mouse (what a cutie!!) and the new Clear Stamps Scrapbook Tiles by Raindrop Echo Designs.  I am going to be using these lots in my Project Life album throughout the year! The mouse is coloured with Prismacolor pencils and the memories was stamped in black pigment ink and heat embossed with ultra fine black embossing powder.
I have attached the image and sentiment with temporary adhesive so when I have a suitable photograph I can place them slightly over the photograph.
This is also my card for Cute Card Thursday this week where the theme is It's a Wild World and we just so happen to be sponsored by Whimsy Stamps!
I am also entering this Project Life card into the Pocket Page Challenge which is asking you to Make it Clear or Cut it Out.  I did the cut it out challenge, fussy cutting my little mouse image and also the sentiment!
Thank you so much for dropping by!

WOYWW

My table was this clear when I started working on it, it has since become a little more cluttered while I have been working on the card!
Doing a little colouring today with some new images just released this week from Whimsy Stamps.
I have once again made a PL card, a bit of an addiction going on here!
Not a lot of creativity going on this week again because of the paintwork in the house.  I am working my way through all the bathrooms. My eldest daughter's this week while she is away for Spring Break!
I took some time out this morning to make this card but it is back to the grind this afternoon stripping everything out the bathroom and prepping it for painting!
and here is what I did a little later (just putting off the inevitable!) a bit of heat embossing with some new Whimsy sentiment stamps!
Don't look at some of the messy edges, I was less careful where I knew it would be die cut off! Totally loving these new Chalkboard stamps especially!

Hope you will play along with us this week, for more details pop on over to Julia's blog!

Whimsy Stamps Sneak Peek Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Whimsy Stamps Rubber Stamp and Die March Release Sneak Peeks!

We are also having week long blog hops and special prizes throughout the week!  Make sure you comment on all posts throughout the week to increase your chance of winning a prize!
Today we are showcasing the new sentiment and dies being released this week!
for my card I used the incredible Mini Chalkboard Sentiments and Mini Chalkboard Die both by SC Designs.  I totally love these, the sentiments come in a set with different sentiments for many occasions such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, friendship, love, Halloween and also this fabulous birthday stamp!
I stamped this one with white pigment ink and heat embossed it with white fine embossing powder.  I just love the chalkboard effect!
I used the Mini Chalkboard die which gives you a perfect frame for your sentiment.  I layered it up to give a 3d effect.
I also used the Spiral notebook border die also from Whimsy Stamps!

The papers I used for this project are Echo Park 'This and that'!
***Edited to add a tutorial I created a few years ago for this style of card***
Don't forget to visit the other DT members showcasing the release today
Thank you so much for dropping by today, don't forget to visit the Whimsy Inspirations Blog the rest of the week for details on the rest of the week's blog hops!

This came around so quickly.  Must be that hour we lost this week!
Definitely time this outdated activity was done with, I don't mind gaining an hour but I so dislike the spring forward malarkey!
I managed to get the one wall finished then other things got in the way after straightening this side up I didn't get around to painting the other wall yet!
This week I am starting on my son's bathroom while he is away for Spring Break so the other half of my room reorganization and paintwork will have to wait!
So, on my desk this week is a card in progress which I have since finished and I actually put everything away and cleared off my desk again! We will see how long that lasts!
As you can see I have some new found space so, what is a girl to do with space?
Go shopping of course!
come and join us for our weekly jaunt around the world's craft spaces!  For more info pop on over to Julia's blog!

Whimsy Stamps Challenge

Just about got some creating space on my desk now (see post below!!!)!
I managed to rustle this quick little project life card up this morning before I go off and clean the house!
The Whimsy Stamps Challenge for March is
Spring Colours!

I love spring and can't wait until my garden is awash with yellow from my hundreds of daffodils!
I used Whimsy Stamps Cup of Joy sentiment stamp set  I love this set, have already used it numerous times and I am not finished with it yet!
I simply layered up some patterned papers on top of a 6 x 4 Project Life card.  The tea cups are paper pieced to make them pop.  The little happiness button is one from a set from Reflections that I picked up in Michaels this week.
To post your entry you need to come along and join the Whimsy Stamps inspiration Facebook page and post your entry there anytime during March!
Some exciting news from Whimsy, next week we have a brand new range of stamps, I will be back with sneak peeks on Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday is the release day.  They are so amazing, don't miss them!
Thanks for dropping by, have a great weekend!

Do you ever wish you hadn't started something?
This is one of those snowball effects!  I decided to change out some furniture in my craft room, removing a cupboard and chest of drawers.  Unfortunately, it left me with scuffed walls which I then repaired and decided to repaint the whole wall in the same paint colour.  This is what I did this morning but once dried it is obviously a shade or 2 darker than the original!  Not so bad on one wall but silly me touched up a couple of patches on another wall!!! Now I have to do the rest of the room!
You can't really see my desk today, it is there beneath those piles!  I was hoping it would be clear to create on by tomorrow but this job looks like lasting out the week!
This is the reason for all the drama!  I wanted to change out the existing furniture for a nice white Expedit!  The idea being I can see my stash therefore might use it and not forget I have it!
If you want to see some more productive desks than mine pop on over to Julia's blog for links and more info!
