WOYWW

I hope some of you are enjoying a lovely spring day like we had today, it felt so much like summer was just around the corner but I am not fooled, it will probably snow tomorrow!
It has been a busy day on my desk!  This is going to be a travel album, only doing as far as the background up to now as I am waiting for something to arrive before going any further!
It is a Little Yellow Bicycle album that I have been hoarding for a few years, not wanting to break into it, well, finally I am going to be brave and use it!
Have you seen this craze?  It is all over Facebook just now!  Just had to give it a whirl.  These are old Hama beads that my kids had years ago.  They have been in the oven for some time now and still have a hole in the middle.  I hope after a bit longer I might have some enamel dots!
If they don't I may have to pop to Michaels and pick up some newer ones, maybe the old recipe doesn't work!
After I put the album aside I got to work on a small project life card for last year's Halloween page.  You might recognize the Halloween stamp as one I was embossing last week, see, I knew I would need them soon!  I am very erratic in my way of doing Project Life, I tend to do random cards which I hope will fit in somewhere rather than working on a page at a time in order!  I don't like that kind of discipline, rather do what I feel like when I feel like it!
Has anyone read this book series?  They have been around for a while.  I had  a couple of books from the series since picking them up in a Yard Sale last year but not the 1st book so I ordered the ones I was missing after being recommended them by some friends.  These just arrived this evening, perfect timing as I just finished my last book!
Sorry, it has been a long post, I do normally try to keep them short but I had a bit more to share this week!
If you would like to join in with us pop on over to Julia's blog for more details!

not heard of this author, I'll keep a look at for her. Not seen anything about the Hanna beads before, think my niece may have some, perhaps I need to "liberate" a few, Donna #35

Not heard of the author - is it historical or fantasy? I love proper books, though my Kindle is awesome too!
Melting beads??? Doesn't that make your house stink? Hope the results are worth the plasticky pong, lol!

I am intrigued by the bead idea - especially as I found a big pot of these yesterday which I was going to chuck out. Maybe they do have a use! Have a great WOYWW, Cindy #59

Never heard of melting beads before, hope you've got the windows wide open to ventilate! I've heard of the author but haven't read those books, I prefer a good mystery myself! If I can work on Christmas when I feel like it then I'll have to concede that you can work on Halloween, lol!!

What a clever idea with the little beads, hope it works out without any melted plastic smell.

Thanks for the tip on the books, I'm always looking for something new to read.

Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier and for the nice comments.

I have not seen the bead thing - what comes after heating them up? The books, however - AWESOME! I love this series, and at the end of each book, I always hope that she has left room for one more ;-)!!

Hama beads melting..OMGeee..what if you jog the sheet and they all fall over before you get them in the oven...it would drive me nuts!! If it works they'll look really nice, I do agree. I love the album, aren't you a good gal to get ov it and actually start on it!!

It is officially summer now in the Philippines. But sometimes it still rains even in the summer. I'm one of the dinosaurs who doesn't have facebook so I haven't heard of this craze (or those books). Too busy trying to clean my desk! Happy WOYWW!
