I am so late posting this, had a lovely but very busy Thanksgiving and also sprained my wrist somehow while doing all the food prep so I have struggled with writing and typing among other things.

Today is release day over at Whimsy Stamps!

I dressed up a gift bag today - my new obsession! 

I used the new Christmas Fun Paper pack for my background and added a frame cut out using the 

Card Builder Windows Die Set.

Cute Card Thursday - Monochrome!

I have made a very simple CAS card using the fabulous 

Whimsy Stamps 

Paper Door Kit 

These kits are amazing, they arrive in a sturdy box and have a brand new unique stamp set each month along with various other items that might include dies, stencils, inks, embellishments and plenty of paper to make up your projects! 

This kit was originally released in May but due to demand was re released in August, it is so cute!

I inked up the Panda and sentiments and then die cut them using the co-ordinating dies. 

 The ink I used is 

Versafine CLAIR in nocturne. 

The edging die is also from a  Whimsy Stamps set called the Wavy Edgers Die Set! 

I couldn't resist adding some more stamping inside the card

Dies and Punches!

This card is very different from my usual style, it was from a class at the Whimsy Stamps Retreat.  I love the variety of classes at the retreat, you get to play with styles you wouldn't normally.  

This background stamp is amazing and so versatile, it looks fabulous coloured up but I also loved it monochrome! It is called the Flower Puffs Background stamp. The ink I used is 

Versafine CLAIR in nocturne. 

The dies are also a  Whimsy Stamps set called the Bold ABC die set!

Here is a card that was one of the Whimsy Stamps Retreat classes.  I finished the colouring at the retreat but only just got the card made up.  We are given so many projects at the retreat we have lots to finish after the retreat is over. I still have many that I have yet to start...talk about value for money!

Whimsy Stamps Seashell Background Rubber Stamp.  which was heat embossed over a blended background of Salty Ocean Distress Ink and Lucky Clover Distress Ink. 

A last embellishment with some  Winter Wishes Enamel Dots also from Whimsy Stamps.

I have been waiting for a good opportunity to use this cutie that I bought a year ago and this traveler's notebook was the perfect size for an album I wanted to create following our vacation in Hawaii last year.  

It was such an amazing trip that we did with the whole family.  We certainly packed in a lot of fun and have plenty of photos from it to fill an album!

Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes!

My poor blog has been very neglected for half a year!  

It has been a very busy time, our 25th wedding anniversary with a couple of fabulous trips, the blessing of our daughter's marriage along with family and friend celebrations in the UK and our youngest kids (twins) 18th birthdays and High School Graduations!  Phew!  

I am finally finding a little time to draw a breath!  

I whipped this up quickly (as I am still not back on track yet)

with one of the latest digi images from Crissy Armstrong at Whimsy Stamps.

This one is  Make a Splash Duck available at Whimsy Stamps now!  

I coloured the duck with Prismacolor pencils and made the sentiments myself.  The anchor is an old Whimsy die as is the nautical paper.
