Whimsy Stamps has put together a DREAM TEAM of crafters to help them launch their debut clear release, and I am thrilled to be part of that team.

Whimsy Stamps Challenge

Just about got some creating space on my desk now (see post below!!!)!  

I managed to rustle this quick little project life card up this morning before I go off and clean the house!

The Whimsy Stamps Challenge for March is

Spring Colours!

I love spring and can't wait until my garden is awash with yellow from my hundreds of daffodils!

I used Whimsy Stamps Cup of Joy sentiment stamp set  I love this set, have already used it numerous times and I am not finished with it yet!

I simply layered up some patterned papers on top of a 6 x 4 Project Life card.  The tea cups are paper pieced to make them pop.  The little happiness button is one from a set from Reflections that I picked up in Michaels this week.

Do you ever wish you hadn't started something?

This is one of those snowball effects!  I decided to change out some furniture in my craft room, removing a cupboard and chest of drawers.  Unfortunately, it left me with scuffed walls which I then repaired and decided to repaint the whole wall in the same paint colour.  This is what I did this morning but once dried it is obviously a shade or 2 darker than the original!  Not so bad on one wall but silly me touched up a couple of patches on another wall!!! Now I have to do the rest of the room!

You can't really see my desk today, it is there beneath those piles!  I was hoping it would be clear to create on by tomorrow but this job looks like lasting out the week!

 This is the reason for all the drama!  I wanted to change out the existing furniture for a nice white Expedit!  The idea being I can see my stash therefore might use it and not forget I have it!

Cute Card Thursday - Springtime!

I am longing for spring but in my part of the world it is always a lot later than other places due to living in the mountains!  Still, it is a lot warmer this week than is normal so I can pretend that spring is here even with the absence of spring flowers!

I have altered a project life 6 x 4 card for my PL album.

Time for WOYWW!

Some card making going on, an image to colour and a new stamp/die set which was my valentines pressie from Hubby!   I thought he chose well!

My desk is seriously cluttered just now, just be thankful that I zoomed in!  I feel a huge shake up in my craft room coming  in the near future!

I got so carried away creating this card this week I almost forgot the buttons and bows!  Can you tell they were a last minute thought?  That is the nice thing about embellishments, you can always find a place for them!

This cutie is from Whimsy Stamps, she is Sweetheart by Time for Tea. She is coloured with Prismacolor pencils.   The sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps from a collection called Love Tiles.  Behind that I used the Whimsy Stamps Shapeology die Fancy Square Die by Raindrop Echo Designs.

I can't believe it is Tuesday already!  I have lost a couple of days this week, was very sick Sunday and slept most of the day and Monday I stayed in quarantine so I didn't pass the bug on to the kids.  Hubby already had it and very quickly passed it onto me, very kind of him!

I am pretty much back to normal now, just not much of an appetite which is no bad thing, dropping a few pounds at this time of year!  I do prefer to do it through diet and exercise though, that bug was vicious!

I am still working on a card I am now way behind with, hoping to get this finished swiftly!

 While I was quarantined on Monday this was my workspace!  My bed.  I made good use of the time though, finished up my bunny and stuffed and stitched her up and got a good start on her knickerbockers!

Time once again for WOYWW!

This week just like the past few weeks Project Life is taking centre stage!    This is my 2013 album, not quite finished.  

The way I do it is to fill the protective sleeves with the photos I want to use for that week then go back and fill in the gaps with embellished cards or any photos I might have missed out. Finally I will do the journaling. 

As you can see I still have quite a few gaps in the album!  This is the fun part though where I can get creative!

 While enjoying the Olympics I picked up my knitting again.  Hoping this little bun will be finished by Easter!  I have actually done quite a bit more than this in the last couple of days since I took this photo! I have since finished her head so time to stuff and give her a face!

Mini Album

I made this album way back in the summer as a memento of our Whimsy Stamps trip to CHA and as a thank you to Denise for making it happen!

It appeared in the last Whimsy Stamps Inspirations magazine as part of a product review for Beacon Adhesives.  Their Zip Dry glue is my favourite adhesive for this type of project.  It is a liquid glue, holds fast and there is never any puckering of the paper!

 The stamps I used in this project are

Whimsy stamps  Heart Balloon 'Time for Tea',   Birthday Greetings 2, contest ribbons and Welcome to the Big Top. The dies are also from Whimsy Stamps - Double scallop doily die. and Contest Ribbon die.

The papers are Authentique and the embellishments are a variety of bits I already had.  The enamel brooch on the front is Bo Bunny.

I can't show what I am working on, a secret for later in the week!  Ssshhh!

Instead I covered it all up with some of my latest purchases from Michaels. I felt in the need for some retail therapy and only TJ Maxx or Michaels fits the bill for me!

The valentines range were all 40% off, hence I bought a few bits!  I did have a 40% off coupon so I also had  to splurge on the new Maggie Holmes Project Life Core kit!  I am going to have to have a craft room reshuffle now to accommodate all of my PL kits and new PL albums!

Working on Project Life again this week although it is slow going what with the MLK holiday on Monday then we went to a Pink concert followed by my regular volunteering stint and then a Sundance movie! (Which was fantastic, I must say!) It has been a hectic start to the week, hoping for some time to play now!

I am working on the first page of my 2013 PL album.  

You can see the back page for this album here.  I have most of my photos in place now for the whole album but a lot of the pages need the journaling and also some creative flair added! 

Still, even though it is not yet complete I plan to get a start on my 2014 album very soon!

It has been a while since I joined in with WOYWW!  I have missed my little nosey around blog land and hope to do some visiting this week!

Our mums left last week after staying with us for a month! I barely ventured into the craft room during that time but  I am getting sorted now and creating up a storm!  I also sorted out some supplies that will work well with Project Life and have them on display so that they are easy to see.  I forget what I have if they are tucked away and then they aren't ever used! 

Keeping it short and sweet this week as I am still catching up with everything but I know that is the way Julia likes it anyway!

I made this cute tag using Whimsy Stamps Nutcracker die.  

 The Whimsy Stamps Challenge this month is Party time.  I used 4 calling birds to create this party favour. Also used are the double scallop doily die and the holly and berries die.
