I am a bit late with my post today! This week on A spoonful of sugar the theme is
Christmas!
yey, great excuse to get a start on your Christmas cards although the amount I am seeing as I go blurfing I am sure everyone is well ahead already!
I love this stamp from Sugar Nellie, it is another Elisabeth Bell designed stamp of Honey and Snowman, little Honey is so adorable, I had to colour her dress red as my eldest had a beautiful red coat in a similar style to this when she was about 18 months, it always looked very festive!
Do pop on over and check out the challenge there is a fantastic Sugar Nellie stamp to be given away and also some amazing cards by the design team!

Angel ~ Friday Sketchers

I coloured this sweet Whiff of Joy Guardian Angel 'Melinda helping angel' earlier this week, she is my favourite of the angels! I wasn't sure what to do with her until I saw the sketch by Heidi over at Friday Sketchers! The slim image fit the sketch perfectly!
I will have to add another photo to show the gloss on the plate, I used a 3d gloss and it really looks like a piece of china, I also added some stickles to the wings.
I haven't done the inside yet, I will add another pic of that too when I get it made.
Supplies: DP~ Basic Grey
Stamps ~ Whiff of Joy 'Melinda helping Angel'
Embellishments ~ Prima flower and leaf, rub-ons, ribbon and buttons from stash
Quick post as it is late, hope you all have a fantastic weekend, thanks for visiting!

Cute Card Thursday ~ Cats and Dogs

This week on Cute Card Thursday the theme is Cats and Dogs!
Debbie Moore who designs for Spiral Whisper, has donated some fabulous downloads to one lucky winner, go check them out, they are so cute!
I used my fabulous lion stamp from Debbie's safari stamp set available from Spiral Whisper, I don't have anything jungle themed to go with them but thought the Magnolia leaves from the Summer Club collection would work a treat.
Don't forget to check out the rest of the design team's fabulous creations!
For extra dimension I added another layer of leaves. The ribbon closes the whole thing as it is actually an image holder!
Supplies: DP ~ Basic Grey 'Mellow'
Stamps ~ Spiral Whisper 'safari set' designed by Debbie Moore, Magnolia 'leaves'
Embellishments ~ Ribbon from Ribbon Oasis, sentiment made with letraset rub-ons

Willow drinking hot chocolate ~ autumn

As soon as I saw this image of Whiff of Joy's Willow I knew I had to have it! She is so adorable and she always makes me think of my eldest, this one especially as she also loves her hot chocolate always with cream and marshmallows! With the recent cold wet weather we have been having I was so ready to do an autumnal card! A lucky coincidence that Stamp Something challenge has a fall theme and Papertake Weekly also has an autumn theme! I am so thrilled to have found time to enter some more challenges at last!
I used a very fine wire to make this spiral to decorate the flower and added some tiny beads.
The inside, a fab Studio G stamp again to decorate, simple but effective!

DP ~ Basic Grey ' Perhaps'
Stamps ~ Whiff of Joy 'Willow with hot chocolate', Studio G 'sentiment and mug', Basic Grey 'Wintertime' , corner stamps unknown make.

ASOS ~ Anything but a card

The challenge this week on A Spoonful of Sugar is
Anything but a card!
Very good timing as I bought a bracelet for my daughter's birthday pressie but it came in a boring box. I covered the box with pretty paper (wouldn't do that again, much easier and quicker to make a new box from scratch) added a Bella, this one is so my daughter, and some pretty embellishments. Didn't go overboard as she is a teenager and hey, that just wouldn't be cool or she wouldn't care! I was told this morning she doesn't care if she has a cake today! She had a huge birthday party here on saturday night so I think she is suffering from an anti-climax, that and exhaustion as they had 5 hours sleep on saturday night, if they were lucky!
If you were wondering where I was all weekend, I had a houseful of teenagers from thursday night to sunday afternoon! I hardly got out of the kitchen! We did them burgers and pizzas at the party and when we put them on the table they all ran for them like they hadn't seen food in a week! Can you imagine 50 hungry teens running at you?

There is some fabulous blog candy on offer to one lucky participant kindly donated by Dottydocrafts. Pop on over to the see the prize and also the fabulous creations by the rest of the design team, I nearly didn't want to add mine they are so amazing!
Supplies: Empty cardboard box
DP ~ Kaiser bought from Traceyjanescrafts
Stamps ~Bella, ticketed by Autumn Leaves
Embellishments ~ Scissor sisters flower, charm and spacer from Jeneca beads, ribbon from Ribbon Oasis

A Spoonful of Sugar ~ 3 different ribbons

The challenge on A Spoonful of Sugar this week is 3 different ribbons!
I decided this week to make something a bit different and wanted to play with my ScorPal, many thanks to my good friend and SBS sister Seleise for some fabby links!
As it is my eldest's birthday soon I decided to make her a little extra pressie, she is such a chocoholic like her mum so I found a square chocolate bar and made a cover for it. The measurements and more pictures are below!
Check out the challenge this week for fantastic cards from the design team and also some fabulous candy thanks to our sponsor this week Silly Monkey Crafts.
We also have a guest design team member for the next month, the very lovely and super talented Jacqui of Cats Whisper, welcome aboard Jacqui!
As it happens it was Jacqui who sent me this gorgeous image, thank you so much they are adorable! The DP is Basic Grey Lily Kate.
Here are the measurements I used...a piece of card 8.5 inches by 5 inches
score at 4 and 4.5 inches
