Scrapbook Steals Midweek Mojo

At last I am up to date with the Mid Week Mojos over at the Scrapbook Steals blog.
Of course, this is merely because it is only week 2 of the current series!  I am determined to keep up this time!
This is the current MWM Pearl 2 designed by guest designer Katrina Hunt.
The kit I used is a former steal My Minds Eye Lost and Found 2 Sunshine

I was so lucky to attend a local crop on Saturday with my friend Kerys and some of the other Scrapbook steals community girls!  Although I didn't get these completely finished at the crop I did manage to get 2 almost done layouts.
the second one is the Pearl 1 MWM the sketch designed by Erin Schulz.
If you can't tell, these 2 layouts form a double page spread. My favourite way to scrap!
At the crop I also  got to test out todays steal  (Martha Stewart craft glitters) over at Scrapbook Steals.
I created a card for today's Monday Card Madness  following Kristy's fabulous sketch.
My little boat is sailing on a sea of Martha Stewart craft glitter hearts!
Although a very simple design it was not an easy card to make as I took only very limited supplies to the crop!
I ended up having to borrow the circle punches to execute my design!
This is the photo Kristy took of it and has used both on the Scrapbook Steals webpage and also on the Scrapbook Steals blog today.
Off to get caught up on some other crafty goodness!
Thank you for dropping by!

WOYWW

I have been missing in action lately.  Our Mums have been visiting for the past month and went home today...boo!  I have been moving back into my craft room  and have a lot to catch up with.  First, joining in again with WOYWW, not much, as my desk was completely given up for the month to my MIL but some stamps for a release next week, hence they are out of sight!
Next I need to sort out some photos and scrapping bits and pieces ready for a crop on Saturday...can't wait after my month of  abstinence!
My wildlife pic this week is a cracker!  One I have been trying to bag for the past 3 years!  After at least an hour of waiting patiently, I finally got my pics!

Okay, back to work for me, lots still to organize after our house move, only got our furniture from our house in Scotland last week so that meant a little more chaos!
Hope to see you join in with WOYWW, pop over to Julia's blog for more details!

Scrapbook Steals Guest Design Spot

I was so thrilled to be asked to be a guest designer for the
my favourite store for all of my scrapbooking supplies!
I got to create with these 2 fabulous Martha Stewart Punch all over the Page punches.I do already own a Martha Stewart all over the page punch so I was already a huge fan, I love how you can punch right in the middle of a sheet of paper instead of having to go around the edge or cut into the paper first.  I just wish I had more time to play so that I could create apertures in my layouts, that will be my next project for sure!
These punches are so versatile and so easy to use.
You can see my guest spot over at the Scrapbook Steals Blog and be sure to check back regularly as they have regular challenges, giveaways, tips and tutorials every day!

These punches are just perfect for me as I love to make my own flower embellishments, especially with the same
coordinating patterned papers!
first up I made this......
The letters were cut on my Cricut with the Storybook cartridge and using a 6x6 pad of Authentique Uncommon, (a former steal from Scrapbook Steals!)
I then punched out multiple flowers and fronds using the Martha Stewart punches, inked the edges and then dry embossed them for more definition.
Then the fun begins....layering all the flowers up!
Here is how it looks on my craft room wall!
Although the possibilities are endless with these punches I couldn't help myself but make more decorations....for a gift bag and notebook gift set.
I used the same papers as before this time using some of the backing card for some of the leaves.

Thank you so much for your visit today xxx

WOYWW

I missed WOYWW last week as we had family arriving.   Our Mums are staying for a month and so my craft room is now a guest room.  I did manage to make something on my desk before I gave it up!
To see what I made you will have to pop back tomorrow, sorry, can't show before then! A little sneak peek on my desk though, you can bet it has stitching on it!
The wildlife pic of the week.....

Hope you can join in with WOYWW, you can find all the details over at Julia's blog.

One I made earlier....

I totally forgot to post this on here, it featured in the Whimsy Inspirations Magazine issue 7 way back in February!
This card was made as part of a collaboration with Whimsy Stamps, Little Miss Muffet stamps and Make it Crafty.

I used the Whimsy Stamps Vintage Travel Postage Stamps, Little Miss Muffet La Petite Princess and Make it Crafty Fancy Balcony.
The image is coloured with Copics and Prismacolor pencils.
The paper is My Minds Eye.
I am on a mission to unpack a lot of boxes today and as a reward  I am giving myself permission to craft afterwards, it has been over 5 weeks so I just hope I can remember what to do!
thanks for dropping by!

WOYWW

These weeks are flying past and still no crafting from me! I am determined to get crafty in the next couple of days, I am having serious withdrawal symptoms!
So, in absence of anything crafty to show for WOYWW, here is my brand spanking new desk which has so far not seen a bit of paper other than this pile of photos that need sorting.  I found them in one of the packing boxes and don't know where the removal peeps found them!
This desk was going to be my laptop desk but when I realised there was no good place for the printer I decided it would make a much better creation station!
Still have a few boxes to unpack yet, luckily the cupboards and drawers are still empty so still got a little bit of storage to go!
The wildlife pic of the week, a moth resting on our porch today. Have no idea what kind it is, had a quick search but no luck! It was pretty big, around an inch and a half long!
if you would like to join us in showing off our desks this week pop on over to Julia's blog for details!

WOYWW

As you can actually almost see my desk this week thought I would try to join with WOYWW!
I am still in chaos with the unpacking etc but trying to sort out my craft room this week.  Hoping that the day I get to create again won't be too far away!
For those who don't know, we moved into our new house a couple of weeks ago and are simultaneously trying to decorate the whole house and unpack and get settled in!  Not an easy task.  We managed the top floor the week before we moved in so that was the easy part, decorating once furniture and boxes are in not so easy!
My storage is different in this room as my last craft room had a large built in cupboard so I had to get some more storage cubes.  Next, I need to get a second desk which hopefully you will see in action next week.  I like to keep my laptop and printer off my creating desk as I need as much space as possible especially for layouts.
Not sure that this cupboard fits in here.  My new desk will be white and will sit alongside it so I am contemplating painting it white to fit in better.  My only concern is it has a very distressed finish which I am not sure will suit a white look.
Have to show you who else lives in our new house!  This is Mom and baby raccoons! Not managing to get good pictures so far as they only come out when it is almost dark. They are living in our roof but the space they occupy isn't over the main part of the house thankfully, I did hear them one night when I got up to see to our dog and they are noisy, sounded like we had a couple of bears up there!
Looking forward to having a catch up with the WOYWW girls on my tea and coffee breaks, at least I am getting breaks now, the past couple of weeks I have been eating and drinking on the run!
Maybe in the next couple of weeks I will get a moment to create something!
If you want to know more about WOYWW go and visit Julia's blog for details!
Thanks for dropping by!

Cute Card Thursday ~ For the boys

The theme for Cute Card Thursday this week is
For the boys!
A very quick and simple card from me today.  I used Simple Stories 'Awesome' collection to keep it super simple but still have plenty to focus on.
The image is from Tiddly inks and one that I coloured about a year ago! I was lucky to find it, perfect for a quick make!
This one will be perfect for mailing too as it is an A6 size card and not too many stick out bits to it.  Think I might try to make a few more of these just to have handy for times when I need to mail a card and also when I am even too busy to make one in a hurry!

WOYWW

I missed WOYWW last week, just a very busy week and couldn't fit anything much in! This week, still busy but taking a little time out now and again before the real work begins once we get the keys to the new place!
Lots of decorating to do!
So, Tuesday (when I took this pic) I took the opportunity to create a little card, albeit a quick and simple one.  I used these fabulous Simple Stories papers which made my job very easy! The card will be on my blog tomorrow, can't show it today, sorry!
Also on my desk piles of photos, all old ones that I have been scanning for future scrapping!
Here is what is keeping me busy.  On the guest bed, multiple cartons waiting to be packed and lots of new goodies for the new house.  The lemons are for the kitchen, they are fake so they will last!  They are going in a nice tall vase.  The cute flip flops are a soap dispenser that will go into a shower room  along with a very cute beachy themed shower curtain and flip flop bath mat.  I got them all half priced in Bed, Bath and Beyond too, a very cute bargain! Plus other shower curtains and I still need more, this house has more bathrooms than I care to clean!
I am also working on something creative for this room too, I will be able to share in a couple of weeks!
I hope to be able to show you a huge pile of packed up boxes by next week and with a lot of luck the key to my new door!
My task for today, clean out the fridge and pack lots of books up!..... and just maybe squeeze in another quick card!
If you would like to join us over at WOYWW pop over to Julia's blog for details!

My Minds Eye Sketch Challenge

I am thrilled that I managed another layout. I was so stressed out on Friday regarding our house move that I gave myself permission to craft all afternoon.  I managed to make a birthday card for my son (to be shown later) and got a good start on this layout which I just finished off today.
I am loving the challenges over on the My Minds Eye blog.  This one was a sketch challenge.  I knew these gorgeous My Minds Eye Lost and Found Two 'Sunshine' papers and accessories would be perfect to use alongside our wedding photos.
The smudged out centre banner contains the date of our wedding, hence the smudging. Although, I will tell you we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary next year !

Everything I used here was from the Sunshine kit that I bought from Scrapbook Steals, of course, my favourite place to buy my My Minds Eye collections from! Only thing I added was  a tiny bit of white Bazzill basics cardstock.   The text was printed onto some Sunshine paper from a 6x6 pad I bought previously from Scrapbook Steals.

Thank you for dropping by!

She is coloured with mainly Prismacolor pencils and some skin tone Copics.
My chalks are already packed away for our forthcoming move so I used some old blue eyeshadow for the background.
